The staff were lovely. The breakfast was good and plentiful. The hotel was situated about ten minutes from the shops in Dublin and about ten minutes from Croke Park which is why we booked it as we were going to the Take That concert in Croke Park so ideal if you wanted to do either. Will stay again next time in Dublin One small thing and that our room was at the top of the house and had to climb 5 flights of stairs to get to it. But staff did apologise for this and said would try and give us a room closer to the ground next time |

The proximity to the activities and value price. The room was fine, but the common areas could use updating. It smelled like an old ashtray. The place needs airing out. |

It's OK as a place to get your head down and get a decent breakfast before heading out for the day. It's an easy walk into Dublin city centre. It's a bit rough around the edges and is very basic. A few smiles from the staff wouoldn't go amiss either. |

I like the fact that the location was ideal. Close enough to go shopping and far enough away to avoid the what will be a loud and vibrant area (O 'Connell St.) The staff could not have been friendlier and despite one review which I read stating its 'unclean, shoddy and disgustingly bad value' a number of reviews suggested that this is inaccurate. I agree, it was inaccurate. If I could be slightly picky it would be that you don't get a key to get in and out. Ringing a bell and waiting for someone to answer it does seem a little odd. That said, if you lose your key when out shopping, anyone could find it and rifle through your goodies. So despite it being a little odd it doesn't outweigh the plus sides to staying here again. |

The Dergvale was quite central and not too far from the main busy areas of Dublin but it was far enough away to be peaceful |

The hotel was very central and just a short walk to O'Connell Street. The Nolan family made our stay there a very pleasant one. Super breakfast to start off the day. We would not hesitate to return there again in the future and highly recommend it to others. |

Convenient to the city. We could walk everywhere, and the hotel itself was quiet. The owners/managers were helpful and friendly. We were able to leave our luggage at the hotel after we had vacvated our room. A few people said that Gardiner street area was a bit " rough". A local man, who we asked for directions, told us to be careful!! We did not feel threatened at all even coming back at midnight |

The hotel is very comfortable and spotlessly clean and the staff are polite. The bathroom was a bit small but that wasn't really a problem, the shower was lovely and hot and clean towels were provided each day. The bed was lovely and comfortable and the breakfast was very filling. Eggs cooked just the way I like them!! Very tasty sausage and bacon. There is no kettle in the room and although this wasn't a problem for us some people may not like it. However, tea & coffee is available from reception. |
