Ideally located in central Dublin, Amberley House is just over half a mile from Croke Park Stadium.

In the heart of the Georgian city of Dublin, this 3-star guesthouse features traditional dècor and furnishings. It was built in the 18th century, and was once part of the Earl of Clonmel’s estate.
Score from 1195 reviews Very good
The staff were first rate, friendly, courteous and efficient. The room was cosy and clean. The shower was very good. Breakfast was very good, traditional and filling and nicely served. It was excellent value for money. The hotel is within easy reach of Dublin landmarks and shops.
The area made me a bit uneasy, but having said that I had no bother from anyone and the hotel is very secure. There was no tea making facility in the room, but that is a minor thing.
Very friendly staff and a great breakfast menu. Comfortable and warm (we visited in December). Well located for shopping and city centre, bus station etc.
Timer taps in the bathroom: they don't even give you time to cup your hands to fill them with water. Horrible. The plug in the sink: no option to remove it and always "in". Annoying and frustrating.
Room was sizeable and very clean. Heating wasn't on when I arrived, but it warmed up very shortly afterwards. Reception staff very welcoming, provided tea when I returned very late in the evening (there are no facilities in the rooms, but tea/coffee is available via reception). People have complained about wifi availability in rooms, but the hotel website clearly states that it's only available in public areas. For a budget hotel, I found it very clean and comfortable.
I had to leave before cooked breakfasts were available (at 8am) so had a continental (tea, toast, juice, cereal). Toast was cold, dining room felt damp and cold.
Spotless room, newly decorated. Lowest rate I've found in Dublin Breakfast was rich and varied. Staff and owners were very nice.
Cute rooms Friendly staff Good location Really good value Free breakfast
comfortable bed massive breakfast friendlystaff
location radiators in room too hot! security to get in to the reception area
The staff was so service minded! Just stayed 2 short days but they were really the best thing about the Hotel. ! Also really close to everything and super vaule for that price.
The Dergvale is in an excellent location and the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. The room, while relatively basic, was plenty big enough, very clean and the bed was extremely comfy. Will stay here again.
I would love to see tea/coffee making facilities added to the room - though when I asked the person on reception very late one night about where to get tea they made us some immediately to take up to the room.
The staff is very helpful and courteous.
The breakfast organisation would be easier if it was a buffet. We missed more fruits.
It's unbelievable that they turn off the heating during the night, so basically you wake up in the cold...
10 min on foot from the bus station, 15 min on foot from the center. Piece and quite district. Good breakfast.
Old building with cartoon walls. There is no noise from outside but you hear everything what's going on inside. Top floor is semi-technical - you hear pumps and boilers. Reception smells like an old man.
Really useful for couples without children or people on their own who want to live to the fullest what Dublin offers and they only go back to the hotel to charge batteries. The location is 15 minutes close to the city centre & 8 minutes to the airport bus shelter and the streets nearby have enough light on at all times. All the staff deserve a 10 out of 10. for their kindness, warmness, solving problems... The reception is 24/7. The housekeeping is perfect. The design of the room, despite its age, is better than I expected. The use of the space is very very smart. The shower offers a very good pressure with good flow and really hot water. You have more than enough blankets for keeping warm. Also if you don't like the English breakfast and prefer much more the continental one, they do an extra effort for satisfying you. Olga was super with me.
It is a quite old building with thin walls so you will listen at the voices next door and from the outside & the noices from the heating are everywhere; the isolation is poor so we had to turn on an electric radiator; the electric light (hall light and translucent parts in the ceiling of our room) floods the room and cannot be blackouted while you want to sleep in the dark.
The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel was basic but comfortable.
Not a lot of choice at breakfast, some beans, tomatoes or mushrooms would have been nice.
FRIENDLINESS, CLEAN, HOMELY, THE LIST IS ENDLESS FAB HOTEL
Location quite central city centre within easy walking distance.
Blankets on bed no quilt ,no lift and breakfast not very appetising.
Very clean and nice staff, they let us leave our stuff there after checking out.
The breakfast had limited choice.
Helpful and professional staff, room and bed was comfortable.Could get complimentary tea and coffee at reception.Short walk to centre and the Mater hospital.
Traffic noise as windows only single glazed. No tee and coffee making in room needing to go to reception in order to bring tray up to room, but considering excellent value for money this was a minor point. No lift for anyone with mobility problems, but not an issue for me.
Walls are a bit on the thin side
Location was good
Small bath, small tv, small room, noise.
Staff are both friendly and accommodating. The location is great.
It's good value.Staff are friendly.Breakfast had generous portions.
Hotel is basic and needs modernisation.
Breakfast was good even though I don't think that sausage, bacon & eggs can be qualified as being a "full Irish breakfast"?? Staff were lovely & location was good.
I paid 500 euros for 2 people staying 3 nights, which I find extortionate. Unfortunately for me, there was an event on at Croke Park, meaning the prices were inflated everywhere. The rooms are relatively noisy, I could hear the people in the neighbouring room talk to each other. Doors make quite a lot of noise when they open and close so as soon as breakfast starts, you can hear the entire hallway opening, closing & locking their doors. I could also understand everything that people were saying in the hallway. No wifi reception in the bedroom, had to venture out into the reception area.
Comfy, warm rooms, good shower & nice filling breakfast.
Mum wasnt keen on the stairs !
Location for Croke Park was great, within walking distance of park. Rooms are dated but were comfortable and we had a good night sleep. Staff are very friendly and helpful
