I liked the warm welcome and nice quiet location so close to Waterford city. The guesthouse was very comfortable and spotlessly clean. I wanted to give a gratuity but they wouldn't take it. This shows true good character.sf
The shower needed maintenance but in fairness they have so many rooms they probably hadn't got around to it yet.I told them re same and they were very sorry re same.sf
Where to start? I love everything about this establishment, from the time we arrived to departure. The staff & proprietors, Benny & Katy, just couldn't do enough for us, and the food was just as we ordered. After our stay here, we returned home fully restored and ready to face the hustle & bustle of our Grandkids again. A truly refreshing short break, thanks to the owners & staff of Diamond Hill - a true gem !
LEAVING at the end of our stay!
Friendly helpful attitude
Little bit far to taxi into Waterford at night (€24 return)
liked everything about this accomadation & would definately go there again the breakfast was very good cooked & presented just right
breakfast was great. room was spacious.
room was cold
found it difficult to make contact to confirm booking and that I would be late
Good location, friendly staff
Had never used an electric shower with a pull cord, so had to ask for help to get shower to work
The Maitre D'hote was an absolute hoot. Very personable. Breakfast very good Price Back towards Wexford there was an excellent hostelry where we had an excellent meal. My brother had a lovely first floor room.
Was given a downstairs room as have mobility issues. A big smelly, probably damp. Small and with limited facilities. It was what it was
Very quiet location, yet fairly close to the city. Good value for money.
it was very clean and tidy the staff were fantastic.the room was lovely and spacious with plenty of tea and coffee facilities.lovely and quiet and really good value for money.
It was somewhere to sleep and breakfast was good.
Did not live up to its description. Road outside close to hotel. Lots of noise until 01:30 on Sunday morning, probably from local pub. Supposed to be recently refurbished but not evident. The 2 acres of land were not evident. No hot water for bath at 17:00.
The Diamond Hill Country House is bed & breakfast yet has the privacy of a small hotel. The rooms are very private and we felt very comfortable. The location is wonderful with stunning views. The breakfast and service was excellent, the staff are very friendly and made us feel welcome. We will definitely stay again.
The rooms are very clean and comfortable but could do with being updated.
Location Personnel Breakfast Room
No possibility of having dinner
Quiet house, well maintained, comfortable bed, good breakfast, friendly ambience, easy to find. Public transport into Waterford city centre is a bit skimpy and not walking distance -- you really need your own car
Staff were exceptionally helpful.
Our twin room was described as having country views. It was dank and musty and being in what seemed like a basement there was little natural light and no view. It was very much in need of a makeover.
We originally checked into Tower Hotel which was terrible on every level. The folks at diamond hill were welcoming. The rooms light and airy and the bed so comfortable. Breakfast was also fresh cooked. All in all a great place to stay.
quiet environment, very nice staff, and great breakfast.
a little bit far from city centre. It wouldn't be a problem if you have a car
Picture three very wet motorcyclists arriving late on a Sunday evening being greeted by most helpful and considerate staff, more than happy to attempt to dry motorcycling equipment overnight: also happy to tumble dry other items of clothing. A great start to a touring holiday.
Happy to leave blank.
The welcome we received from Benny was so warm and friendly. I felt he was so helpful and approachable. The staff serving breakfast were helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Would definitely recommend.
Only problem was the lock on the door. Maybe some instructions could be left on how to close it. Benny showed us very quickly.
Friendliness and helpfulness of all staff
Nothing specific - TV antiquated and Sky would be an advantage.
I liked the breakfast and Wifi and owners appear friendly enough
View of concrete works and noise (Monday morning) - The property was a little isolated 3km from edge of town although there is a Pub at the end of the road (does not do food) - owners children running up and down corridors shouting as if it was an extension of there own house (2 hrs)
He drove us into ton and picked us up.
Breakfast was freshly prepared
Compared to other places we had stayed during our two weeks in Ireland, Diamond Hill was the worst value for money. The room was very basic and tiny, and in need of updating, nothing like the images on the booking.com website.
They gave us a fantastic room, so we liked it all very much. Staff was also very friendly.
Breakfast could have been better
Breakfast and staff were great, quiet location, gardens were nice
Noisy workman in rooms, doors had to bang to close
