Antoinnete and Andrew made you most welcome from the moment you arrived , complimentry tea and scones on arrival. The rooms are very comfortable and well furnished suiting the period of the house. Added unexpected touches are provided during your stay; closing your bedroom shutters, pulling your curtains and turning on your electric blanket , if required. We dined in the evening at Dollardstown, ownen personal Chef who also served us and explained in detaik the meal provided. When we entered the dining room I can only describe it as the WOW factor hit you, a beautifully set table and a large log welcoming fire, it was magnificant and so reasonably priced.Highly recommended . We will return

Nothing, it is an old country house possessing all the country charm expected from a statly old lady. I think a one night stay would be magnificant for a honeymoon couple.

The house itself was very interesting. There were a lot of features like shutters at the windows and period furniture that made it a fascinating place. The owners were friendly and went out of their way to be friendly- even making us a picnic because we couldn't have the breakfast in the morning because of a fast dash to Dublin for the ferry.

It was a lovely georgean house in a very nice rural location but what I liked most of all were the very friendly attentive hosts who really looked after us and the delicious homemade scones straight out of the oven served on arrival and the wonderful cooked breakfast with homemade bread.

Dollardstown is a large old country house set in the countryside a short drive to Athy town with fishing is close by . The owners are exceptionally welcoming and their hospitality is second to none. A nice 3 course evening meal is available at reasonable extra cost. On visiting Dollardstown you receive a lovely welcome and delicious warm scones and instantly feel at home in the house and garden. We stayed in the master bedroom and its really spacious and cosy. We really enjoyed our stay there and definitely will return soon. thanks for your hospitality!

I could not speak higher of this place. It was a highlight of our Irish honeymoon tour. Dollardstown House is a grand, impressive building from the huge front yard. Inside is decorated with tasteful furniture & fittings and it was a pleasure to stay there. What gives this place 5 stars for me was the communication, friendliness and eagerness to please that the hosts had for us. We were emailed with the offer of bringing in a chef to cook for the 2 of us if we wished, along with a menu of choices for a 3-course meal. We went with it and it was the most memorable meal of our lives. We felt like royalty in the dining room with the fire lit and 3 beautifully prepared courses. They even helped us by posting a parcel we had forgotten, as well as giving us a bag to assist with our carry on luggage as it had grown. We will never forget the warmth and hospitality shown by these hosts and wish them all the best with their business.

Great night spent at Dollardstown, greeted with homemade scones and tea, comfortable relaxing living area. Bedrooms are lovely and warm, modern but fitting for the era. Lovely hosts, catered for any of our needs. Breakfast was great...especially the home made soda bread. Location about 5 miles from the village of Athy, very peaceful area.

Lovely location & very friendly. Fine old House with lots of charm. Loved the huge open Log fire at breakfast.

a very genuine welcome from gracious genuine hosts who were most accomodating. Beautiful old georgian house which has been authentically renovated to provide excellent comfort. Exceptional food from local suppliers and home made also, all very well presented.

L accueil des propriétaires est très chaleureuse . la maison ancienne parfaitement entretenue et décoré avec gout dans la tradition irlandaise . très calme car la maison est située sur un très grand parc.le thé de 17h et les crownes fait maison étaient excellent.merci à antoinette et andrew

Accueil très agréable, sympathique et respectueux, prise en charge immédiate, attention portée sur les détails (préparation de la chambre, lit chauffé avant notre arrivée le soir, volets fermés, thés, cafés, lait déposé devant la porte, etc.) Grande souplesse et adaptation à nos horaires. Sourire et discrétion permanents. Maison ancienne avec beaucoup de charme, vue sur le parc apaisante. Cheminées en service dans les salle à manger et salon Petits déjeuners Irlandais traditionnel (inclus)

Villes à proximité un peu trop petites. Chauffage des pièces un peu juste pour des Parisiens.

L'accueil chaleureux et la cuisine d'Andrew & Antoinette qui fait que l'on se sent apaisé dans leur belle demeure. Si vous passez par Athy, l'escale est incontournable.

I don't usually write reviews but I just wanted to give a special mention to Antoinette and Andrew who run Dollardstown House. They are a lovely couple and couldn't do enough to make us feel comfortable. I would recommend this b&b to anybody who is staying in the area as I'm 100% sure that nobody could have any complaints about it.

Dollardstown House is a veryold family home with lots of character and charms in the process of being restored to its original magnificance. Andrew and Antoinette could not have been more welcoming or accommodating in their efforts to ensure our stay was enjoyable! Their attention to detail in ensuring a wonderful stay was fantastic!

Sobre todo los propietarios que eran una pareja amabilísima, atenta a todos los detalles que hicieran la estancia confortable, relajada, y como si estuvieras en tu propia casa. Nos dieron una habitación superior porque eramos los unicos clientes en temporada baja; nos acogieron con te y dulces recién hechos; nos mantuvieron el fuego de la chimenea perfecto, e insistieron en ofrecer otro te por la noche. El desayuno tradicional estupendo con otro buen fuego en el comedor, además de usar productos locales y orgánicos. Charlamos de intereses comunes de jardineria y mascotas como si nos conociésemos de antes. El trato es extraordinario y sin atosigamientos. La casa es encantadora y llena de curiosidades, además de libros y revistas interesantes. Muy tranquilo lugar.
