Good location, lovely room and the owners could not have been more helpful. Highly recommend.
Friendly owners (free lift into town at one point and nothing was too much trouble!), comfortable room, tasty and generous breakfast.
Kathy couldn't do enough for us. Breakfast was plentiful with good options. Very good size room with fab views. Location was great for us as attending a wedding at the lodge.
Breakfast was delicious and made to order. The bedrooms and living and dining rooms were nicely decorated.
It was November, and rather chilly in the house. We would have loved it if Kathy had offered to let us light the fire in the fire place. Bed was a little firm. Towels were thin and scratchy.
Bed very comfortable breakfast good and owners very friendly
Beautiful view and lovely quiet location. Friendly host and nice room.
I would have appreciated a reminder that they didn't take card payment as we had to rush to a cashpoint before checkout and nearly missed our plane. Quite far from Cong village but could probably walk in 20/25 minutes.
Room was very large. Bathroom was modern and had plenty of hot water. Nice sitting area to put on make-up. Good choice of breakfast food from Irish breakfast to cereal and fruit. Owner very attentive.
The road to the hotel is a one car road which got a little scary at night. Wi-Fi only worked in common sitting area and not in room.
Got in later than I had planned which was no trouble. The owner dropped me in to Cong for fear I would get lost even though it is very close and I could have walked. Overall really good stay.
The host family was really nice, catering for our every need. The location is beautiful with lovely surroundings of trees, fields, - showing on a sunny day nature at its best. The hostess was always welcoming, and made us feel really at home - offering the occasional tea and cakes after my husband and I returned from a trip in the evening. Our room was daily cleaned and breakfast was also good and fulfilling. Finally Ashford Castle in Cong is a must see if you decide to visit Ireland not just Dublin - it is breathtakingly beautiful and has a falconry school which offers short lessons to visitors - so this area is worth a visit.
Dolmen House was great - but for fellow tourists going to Cong I think it is fair to mention that Cong is quite a remote area. Cong is beautiful for the nature lovers, but there are no bank facilities or atm's for withdrawing money, and the only bus that passes from here goes to Galway at about 7am, with a return bus at about 6pm - times need to be checked well as no other service operates out of or going to Cong. I really suggest to hire a car if you visit this area.
We renting the apartment and it was just lovely.
The booking.com map says that the location is in cong. It is a short drive or a very long walk from cong.
THE ROOM WAS VERY COMFORTABLE, SPOTLESS AND FAULTLESS. THE OWNERS COULDNT BE MORE HELPFUL AND A BEAUTIFUL BREAKFAST - ALTHOUGH THIS WAS A BUSINESS STAY I WOULDNT HESITATE TO RETURN AND STAY WITH FAMILY. VERY GOOD LOCATION TO THE VILLAGE WHICH HAS SOME LOVELY RESTAURANTS. i HAVE PASSED ON THE DETAILS OF THIS B&B TO OTHERS WHO DO BUSINESS IN THE AREA
Nothing, a pity i couldnt stay and enjoy the area longer.
Extremely comfortable bed.
No Tea/Coffee service in room.
The host was extremely friendly. We were offered tea/coffee when we arrived. Breakfast was great and the room was spacious and comfy.
Female owner very friendly and easygoing ,amazing bedroom and shower, very modern, great value for money,
Nothing, everything was perfect. Definetely reccomend it.
Everything was beyond expectations. The landlady is the sweetest Person. The breakfast was heavenly
The owner kathy was very friendly and helpful
No tea making facilities in rooms
Lovely welcome. Room cosy and breakfast was very tasty. Would highly recomend. Will be back again.
Cathy was a most welcoming hostess - we were met with a lovely cuppa & homemade cake.Beautiful garden in tranquil setting. We were sorry we could only stay one night...
Just stayed the one night but enjoyed the relaxing facilities of Dolmen house, excellent breakfast, great hosts.
Its a 10 minute walk into cong but a beautiful location with great views.
Everyone was very nice
Great breakfast with a view
No tea or coffee in the room, no glasses in the bathroom for teeth cleaning. Not as easy to get into Cong as we expected.
The hosts were lovely and very helpful. We were immediately offered tea/coffee and snacks upon our arrival. We had a delicious full breakfast the next morning.
The hospitality The house itself was decorated to a high standard The location albeit further from the village than expected
No tea making facilities in the room On the website it mentions that it's situated a five minute walk from the village but it was actually 10-15 minutes
Fantastic B&B at beautiful location a couple of miles from Cong village, right beside a river. The place has a very luxury feeling. Kathy and Dermot are excellent hosts. On a cold and rainy Saturday afternoon they treated us with hot tea and a cake and their son and daughter gave a fantastic piano concert. The breakfast was first class, especially the locally sourced bread, which Kathy generously shared with us on our leave. Much recommended for everybody!
I cannot think of anything. Everything was just perfect.
Very friendly & went out of their way to help me by driving me to get my lift the following day.
