A very nice run famlily hotel, the staff are very friendly and helpful with advice and maps given out. The room was very clean and lovely beds. I would stay there again. This hotel is not great if your want City Centre location, its about 10 mins drive and 25 mins walk, Parking is on the street and can be an issue to find a space.

The owners and employees go out of their way to insure that guests have their needs met. I would definitely stay here again. The beds are a bit old and squishy.

Donnybrook hall was absolutely perfect in every regard. We got a wonderful welcome, offered tea or coffee. Our room was very lovely, decor was very tasteful. Beds were so comfortable, with crisp white sheets. Very clean in every respect. Breakfast in gorgeous dining room, was delicious and the staff were so very helpful and kind. I will most definitely be staying there again, when next in Dublin. 10 out of 10.

The best part was the staff and breakfast. Terry and Anthony were fantastic hosts, very helpful and hospitable. And the breakfast were superb with many choices. I would definitely stay there again if we return to Dublin. The bus was very convenient, but only about a 25 or 30 minute walk to Town Centre. The pillows and the water pressure in the shower, but plenty of hot water and I have neck problems so the pillows were fine for the rest of our group.

The location was fantastic. Easy 20 to 30 minute walk to the city center or you can hop on the bus that gets you down there in less then 10 minutes. Either way a great location, close to all the action of Dublin but tucked away in a quiet residential street allowing you to get some sleep.

Great staff - really helpful and friendly. I was staying in a double room and it was better than I expected - I would say that the room in the 5 star hotel in Greece I stayed last year was worse.

Staff were helpful, cheerful and trying very hard to p[lease. Bedroom, though compact, was clean and bright - but with only 1 small chair for four adults - there was no room for any more! Food was ok but the breakfast process was a bit chaotic. I expected hotel facilities not a small terraced guest house. The dining (breakfast) room was too small with guests having to wait until they could be fitted in to sit at one of the 4 tables - each of which was adequate for only 2 people and had insufficient space for our party of 4.

I liked the breakfast selection- not just the 'fry' but a great choice of fruits, pancakes, omelets, juice, good coffee etc. I also liked the decor , not the usual B and B style.

The welcome I got from Anthony on arrival. He carried my bags up to my room, made tea and biscuits and was so kind and hospitable, really made me feel at home. I loved the breakfast, endless choices and service with a smile. I also liked it becaus of the proximity to were my seminar was. I didnt like having to go down to a separate bathroom, even though it was private. The room I stayed in was to the front of the house and I thought it would be a good idea to have darker or heavier curtains to block out the light from the street lamps.

Donnybrook Hall was an excellent place to stay. The accommodation was lovely, we stayed in the room at the end of the garden. We were made to feel very welcome by the staff and their service was wonderful.

The personal touch which Donnybrook Hall offers is something you don't find in many city establishments anymore. We were offered tea/coffee on arrival, a wonderful breakfast and, leaving very early in the morning, some juice and a muffin were left out for us after we had declined the sandwiches! Great location, great place. Try it.

“The Hotel is very conveniently located, in a safe and very good area, central, with lots of public transportation optinons (bus, train, cab). The price was very affordable considering the hotel itself and the provided services. The breakfest was huge, delicious and always in time. The hotel staff was extremly friendly and helpfull (all shifts). The room very clean, spacious enough, warm and 24/7 hot water. The hotel, room and lounge design is very beautifull and warm, gives the impression of a luxury mansion and the comfort of your home. last but not least, the hotel, rooms, lounge, washrooms are very, very clean. I will definately recommend it to all types of travellers. I will go back if I will travel to Dublin again.” Dan, Brussels |
