Donnybrook Hall6 Belmont Avenue, Ballsbridge, D4 Dublin (Show map) Excellent, Score from 235 reviews“The staff is incredible! From the moment we walked through the door and Anthony offered us tea to the moment we left and Terry was giving us detailed instructions as to where we could catch our bus back to the airport, the staff went above and beyond. I never expected that level of service at a B and B. Felt quite spoiled and would recommend Donnybrook to everyone!”

A very nice run famlily hotel, the staff are very friendly and helpful with advice and maps given out. The room was very clean and lovely beds. I would stay there again. This hotel is not great if your want City Centre location, its about 10 mins drive and 25 mins walk, Parking is on the street and can be an issue to find a space.

I have liked very much the warm home feeling given by Terry and the staff. Breakfast was delicious, and it was very helpful there was free Wi-Fi connecting in the public area. Neighborhood is nice and quiet (not during school hours). The single room is very small, but for me it was enough.

Friendly staff, good bedclothes, close to the city center, located on relatively quiet street, public transport availability, good and varied breakfast. Poor sound insulation. My credit card was pre-authorized twice -- first time after booking and second time before arrival. Although in booking confirmation it is mentioned that hotel reserves the right to pre- authorize credit cards prior to arrival, it is not explained that this may be done more than once, pre-auth sum is not indicated either.

Excellent location - easy bus ride into Dublin. Clean, well-equipped room (room 9) on ground floor, very quiet. Terry and staff are most welcoming, great breakfast. Would have liked a firmer mattress.

Close to the buses services. We became aware of the owners, seemingly, inability to cope with stress, however, we were aware of his wanting to support us with any questions asked. Could do with tissues in the room + goblets for rinsing your teeth.

Chose Donnybrook Hall for the great price along with the great reviews from visitors. We weren't looking for luxury, but found the accommodation excellent- beds very comfy, lovely big room, nice quiet location close to both the rds and the city centre. Proprietor Terry was most helpful, and the choice and quality of the breakfast was better than most expensive hotels. Would definitely recommend Donnybrook Hall, and will be back. Only quibble was the very limited on-site parking, but you can't have everything ! Oh, and the slightly peculiar wallpaper - but that's really the worst I can say.

We stayed for 1 night at Donnybrook Hall as we were going to the Take That Concert in Croke Park. The location is great, there is a bus stop at the corner of the streat that brings you into St Stephens Green in 10 mins. Our room was really nice and the breakfast was fab. Would definitely stay here again. Nothing bad to say about Donnybrook Hall

In short: a nice B&B! Terry "The Boss" as he likes to call himself, is really helpful and full of useful tips. It's out of city centre but has a proper bus connection (46a) which takes about 12m. Nice rooms, nicely decorated. Comfortable beds, nice linnen. Big breakfast! You tell 'm what you like, and they prepare it for you. So no buffet style. Just to point that out. Recommended for an 'at home' feeling instead of 'hotel feeling'. No bad points here whatsoever. Only gripe *could* be location, a bit away from centre, but that's has nothing to do with the excellent quality of Donnybrook Hall. Just buy a bus rambler ticket (cheap and very convenient!) or take a taxi from city centre which sets you back about 8 euro.

I recently stayed on two separate occasions and have to say that the place is spotless. Terry is very accomodating and will do your breakfast anyway that you like, there is no set menu which is great, the food was served out at top speed. Terry was also genuinely interested in each person and was a very pleasant person to deal with. All in all he made me feel very at home which was great as I was on my own, I felt very safe at the b&B. There was nothing that I didn't like, it was great value for money and very centrally located.

Donny brook Hall was easy to find and a good location to explore the city, parking was prearranged and worked well. The hotel was clean and the staff were welcoming, they helped us with transportation and eating plans.Breakfast was very good, with lots of choice, pancakes and maple syrup went down well with the children!! We had 5 children in our party of 13, including a baby.all were well catered for. Would return again. There was a slight confusion over pricing to begin with but this was resolved to our satisfaction.
