The owner Terry and his wife Martina are very friendly, all in details. Made you feel at home. Good breakfast The room for 4 people is very good, no noise, clean Located in a quiet place well comunicated
Price a little bit expensive for a B&B. Caudal of shower was poor. I reserved a free parking but we had to park at the street in a reserved place they had.
Lovely place to stay! The breakfast options were great and the room was a good size, cozy, with a nice bathroom, all clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful with everything; I could not have imagined a better stay.
Staff were very welcoming and made you feel at home. Terry, Martina and Debbie especially went out of their way to ensure I had everything I needed and they also take the time to get to know you which is brilliant as I was there for 2 weeks and it became a home away from home. The rooms was bright, clean and beautifuly decorated and the B&B is in a great location close to the city centre. I would definitely recommend this as a place to stay for anyone travelling to Dublin.
Nothing at all
Terry, the owner was friendly, helpful, and full of information. Staff was wonderful, breakfast was very good with variety. Grocery store and restaurants were just around the corner. Bus line was convenient. Overall a good introduction to Ireland.
Twin beds were small and more for kids. Location was a bit far from town, we missed our bus stop two nights in a row not knowing exactly where we were.
Flexibility of the staff / owner to allow our friends, who had found no accommodation in Dublin for the evening to stay. So many tips on food, transport, things to do. Very generous breakfast. Such wonderfully friendly and caring hosts. Great example of Irish hospitality.
Small bathroom for four of us, but then they made an extra toilet & shower available, so nothing to fault.
We had a very pleasant stay Donnybrook hall. It was easy to find ( just off main road from Dublin city by aircoach/bus) in a quiet little street. The staff were very welcoming and eager to help with any advice re city sights, transport where to eat etc. We were able to catch a bus into the city from around the corner and there were restuarants, coffee shops and a supermarket within walking distance if we needed anything. Rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good and with plenty of choices. Thank you for a lovely stay.
The owner - Terry - was so very helpful, as was his staff. Breakfast was delicious. The room was very clean.
The beds were extremely uncomfortable.
Friendly and helpful staff.
Terry and Martina were very helpful and accommodating. We loved the little cottage in the garden. Not a new facility but well taken care of. Wonderful location and great tips on pubs, restaurants and how to get around. Breakfast was great!
friendly staff, free parking, in room coffee/tea facilities, good location
bathroom separate from bedroom..have to go down the stairs for private bathroom
Host was wonderful, very accommodating. All the food was very fresh, best breakfast we had on our entire trip!
From the minute we arrived we were made very welcome, nothing was too much trouble, the room was spotless and very comfortable, and the breakfast delicious with a really good choice of hot food along with a full selection of everything else.
The make to order breakfast is brilliant. The staff is always helpful and willing to offer advice.
Stairs to the room may not suit older travellers
Great spot. Denis very welcoming when landed and full of knowledge about local area. Terry and staff great in am and lovely breakfast.
Terry has a genuine welcome for a returning guest.
We arrived early in the morning and Terry made us feel at home immediately. This continues throughout our five day stay. Food was excellent, other staff were great and the suggestions for things to see and different restaurants to try were always perfect.
A wifi booster would help with reception. Also a desk or table in the main lounge would be nice instead of the two couches.
Donnybrook Hall is in an excellent location being a loverly converted home in a local street just far enough from a main road The staff were very friendly and accommodating It was comfortable, cosy and the breakfast was really wonderful
Nothing...it had everything we needed
They insisted on receiving cash payment and charged 7.50 Euros extra for breakfast. There is no one from the house staying there at night. Hair dryer barely worked, light out in bathroom. Heat barely worked on cold nights.
Location was good if you didn't want to be in the centre of Dublin . Beds were really good.
Be prepared to allow time over breakfast . Considering this was Ireland it was quite stressful.
The room was extremely small and it didn't have an ensuite......had to get up in the middle of the night and go down half a flight of stairs. For this reason I would not stay here again.
The welcoming nature of the staff was superb. Our host, Terry, truly cares about his guests. If driving, make sure you have very good directions.
Everything was excellent or good. Our only problem was finding the B & B. Driving through Dublin is a nightmare!
Best Staff in UK. They make your travel much more easier.
nothing to complain about
Small bedroom for a 4-night stay. Terry did offer to move us into a larger room for the last two nights but we stayed where we were. Worked out ok.
Nothing to dislike. Great value.
The most striking feature of this B&B was the warm, hospitable nature of the staff. They care about you and are sensitive to your needs. That was especially evident the day my friend was unwell and stayed in bed. Staff mailed her postcards for her, and brought her a scone.
Nothing to dislike.
