The room was clean and quiet, very basic but good for price as we didn't go to Dublin to stay in a hotel room all day. Shower worked which is always a plus. Easy bus ride straight into the main town (15 mins) Breakfast was basic. Only had 1 key for three people. Our room was at the back but those at the front are on a main road so traffic noise maybe an issue. Taxi drivers didn't seem to know where it was.

Nothing to say here !!!! I was asked to pay on arrival instead of checking out . No staff available ,no help whatsoever during stay Choice of breakfast .....cornflakes or Branflakes ...thats it !!!! (Appantly thats 'Continental' ) No human contact during stay ,except to take payment on arrival Overall a very poor service and will not be using again . Not recommended in the slightest.

- there was no continental breakfast (one glass with cornflakes was standing on the table, nothing else) - toilet and shower were not working - no heating/ extremely cold rooms - all walls of the room were covered with black mold fungus - check-in only during the afternoon - people were waiting in front of the closed door of the lodge PLEASE TAKE OUT THE LODGE OUT OF YOUR LIST - It cannot be regarded as a hotel (and staying there harms the health).

There was a smell of damp in the room. Towels were never changed and on my last day the bed was unmade and in the morninf the breakfast room was locked. I have stayed in a wide variety of places in the Dublin but this was the worst by far.

This was a good enough area and you can park at the B&B. First of all it is not a B&B it is a room only,we paid for B&B but 2 glass jars of cereal do not pass for breakfast continental or otherwise. we left and had breakfast some where else. The bedroom was nice size but bathroom was ridiculously small and toilet would not flush only once at night and once in the morning! The bed was so uncomfortable and the room was cold. I would not stay here again and would not recommend this to anyone.Definately not worth the money,we were very disappointed.

We stayed for 2 nights. There was no problem with the location, if you go by car there is no need for closer location. To walk to the city was about half an hour, what I didn't really mind. We had the hotel pretty much for ourselves as no other guest were there on the first night, only a few on the second. The hotel itself wasn't bad, I can see its potential. My problem was there were no stuff in the hotel, probably because of low number of guests, we had to learn the keys have been hided for us on the day of arrival. What was upsetting, we had to raid around the empty rooms for towels and soaps, as our room had none. However we had breakfast included in price we didn't get any on the firs morning, and on the second it was poor (only cereals and some yogurt and some pre-packaged croissant. I couldn't manage to pay for them as I haven't seen the stuff, but as they had my card details, they used that for payment. This hotel has the potential, it is a shame they ruined it with poor service

I would suggest anyone staying in Donnybrook buy a ramble bus ticket as there is a good bus service to the City center or to Dun Laoghaire. A five day ramble bus ticket cost me €22.00 (you can purchase it at the airport and use the bus to get to the B&B). There was no Wifi, the password would not work and as far as I could ascertain the router was not connected I tried to contact reception on the phone on two occasions there was no reply. The remote control did not work I think it needed new batteries.

Staff were friendly. Free wi-fi The location is a bit way out from the city centre. Had I known I would have chosen something better. The breakfast was really really poor. Rather exclude breakfast altogether than including soething that sloppy. I wouldnt call a bit of cornflakes and milk, a small tub of yoghurt and juice a breakfast. I didnt even bother with the do-it-yourself coffee as in europe I am used to fiter coffee. The room (room no 9) was really tiny, and the wall paper thin, so much so that I didnt switch on my tv in cae I disturbed the neighbours. The one morning I could even hear the groans of hte neighbours getting it on. Lol.

Nothing..... This is not a B&B, this is a very bad hostel. While the guy in charge was nice and helpful this place is a no go for anyone wanting a comfortable, clean place to stay. It was filthy, out dated and in serious need of an overhaul. When I booked it, it said B&B and clearly stated that it included a full 'English' breakfast, however when we booked in we were told it was a continental breakfast which would be left outside out door. This consisted of two small 'kids' cereal, two small cartons of orange juice, two small yogurts and a small carton of milk..The curtains were hanging off the rail, the bathroom was filthy, covered in stains.. and the rest of the bedroom was so dirty you were afraid to touch anything. We had to pay on arrival which I can understand now having seen the bedroom, no one in their right mind would pay for this after seeing it. Only good thing about the place was location, directly across the road from the RTE studios, could be such a booming business if the owners just put in some money in to it. Do not stay here, regardless of location..

It was convenient for travel into Dublin where I was working, It was inexpensive and clean. Should have had a continental breakfast delivered at 8.00am, waited till 08.30am but still no breakfast. As I paid for b&b I was not too pleased with this.

I liked the privacy of the donnybook lodge, I stayed in a back bedroom and was very quiet as no traffic. It had a continental breakfast and I had it in my room thus making my stay more enjoyable as I enjoyed the privacy of my stay with breakfast in my room or the option of having it in bed as desired. The man in charge was very friendly and the bed and breakfast was very clean etc. and rooms lovely. I would definately stay there soon again when in dublin as I have alot of friends in dublin, it was also very affordable as hotels are very expensive now and we are in receession so price was just right. Thank you again.!

Pleasant staff who provided me with tea making facilities after I requested them as these were not available in room. Decor was shabby certainly could do with a face lift. A bit of effort and this could be transformed into a respectable b&B. Please be aware on arrival I was told I was sharing a shower room not stipulated when booking.....not great if you need facilities during the night!!! Thankfully I was only availing of it for one night.

The location is very good, on the bus routes to the city as well as the airport and very close to the university. The room is very musty and mouldy in the bathroom. The main road is very noisy which makes sleeping difficult.

“Excelente hotel.

Ernesto, Maruri |
