We were a group of 3. Our room was only supplied with 1 towel and we could not get a wifi connection in the room. The reception didn't have a bell so we were often waiting a while for staff until we saw people use the outside bell to get a staff member to come
the room wan't clened there was fungus over the wall in the bathroom
There was nothing to like actually. Hotel is near the bus stop and thats the only advantage.
No heating was turned on. We were shivering whole night and upon request they refused saying its automatic when temperature is below 10°. Breakfast was served with jam and bread only. If you book make sure you carry a heater and have something to eat in the morning.
Great location for the price paid
Lack of welcome, missing the homely feel, breakfast was poor.
Location: very close to RTE my workplace.
Awful smell in the room Entire house lacked cleanliness especially bedroom and bathroom... Should never have been bord failte approved... Plaster peeling off the bedroom walls Had to ask for a key for shared bathroom Breakfast was continental No visible staff... All self service The worst experience I've had in Ireland For such a fine house with potential in a sought after area... Shocking how it's so run down
This was one of the worse B&B that I ever went. This more than overpriced place had very uncomfortable cold rooms smelling cigarets. I also could not work on my room because the lack of light !!! The staff is unfriendly and not helpful. The hotel is far from the city and no nice pub or place to eat around. The breakfast is ridiculous, just some old bread that they don't remove from the plastic package and few slices of cheese ... this if you are luck ... because the staff don't replace the few items once they are over. The nice breakfast that they normally serve on B &B does not exist in this place.
WiFi - Nice to have in a B&B. Clean room - No complaints, clean and tidy. Tea + Coffee making facility in room - Nice to have if you want it.
Thin walls (I could hear the person breathing in the room next door as they slept). Curtains didn't block out the daylight at 6am which I certainly didn't need to wake up at. Shared bathroom which doesn't have a lock.
Nothing at all.
This was not a good experience, the staff were unhelpful, hardly understood what we wanted. The room was old, the bed felt like it would collapse and the ensuite was more like a cupboard. Thankful we only stayed one night.
This establishment is absolutely filthy, the proprietor is extremely rude. Old stickers on window for hotel federation dated back to 2003, no current approvals in sight. I have stayed in many establishments and I can safely say this was the worst experience of hosting I ever experienced. My simple advice is do not stay here, it's a dreadful place!!
Arrived and was greeted and checked in very quickly, staff leave you to it and are only about if you ring the bell to ask for what you need. The room was clean basic all you need. I was travelling with my dad so we had a large twin room was grand. Breakfast was continental again no staff left you to serve yourself all you could need cereal toast tea/coffee and toast. It is serviced by bus to the city centre which takes about twenty min with traffic, close to donnybrook village plenty of pubs and restaurants
The boss is a very nice man.
The singal of wireless networks is weak.
location and parking
Breakfast choices were very limited
Beds were clean and comfortable
Very noisy near busy road. Booked double room and twin room got 2 double rooms but charged for 1double and 1 twin. Had to be out by 8am .Breakfast not served till 8am so had to leave without breakfast.Had to ask for hairdryer in the morning.
free parking; close location to RDS
no breakfast before 8am available; too basic; morning staff in bad form and not dressed properly
Clean, comfortable, great location. Enjoyed stay
Not a lot
Staff unaware of peoples needs
It wasn't as loud as I expected.
First thing going into the building it had a bizarre smell. Old and Damp. The person who let us in stared at us as if it was a private home, almost disgusted we press the doorbell and felt we were in the wrong part of the building, This confused me and my partner greatly. Only after was the room paid for did the person give a small smile. Really believed we were intruding. The Room: - There was worm off wallpaper on the wall - The windows were to thin, only because it was a summer was it bearable. I cant imagine what Winter would be like. - The TV was too small and in the top corner of the room. -Toilet Fan was far far too loud. - No Toilet Handle - Shower had mold in it. - No soap - The bed smelled unwashed - Woke up with sweat on my back from the poor sheets. - Pillows were flat When I checked out, i left the key on the "reception" desk and walked out. Only hearsay, but their breakfasts on offer was cereal and kraft cheese and bread. Conclusion: Pay the extra 30-50 euros, it is literally not worth staying in a place like that and i am absolutely shocked that a place like that is considered a legal service "B&B" for public to stay in. I apologized to my partner for putting her through that, If i had known better i would of left immediately.
Near bus route
Very poor breakstfast toast &cereal, tables not cleared so very messy dining room. Noise from main road constant, through the night.Information on websitevery misleading.
It was very clean. Rooms' size and furnishing was fine. Free car parking.
Staff was polite but very aloof, disinterested and not very friendly. Check-in is from 3pm, so when arriving early we were not allowed to leave our stuff in the room (however, we could leave the car in the car park). Breakfast from 8am is too late. Very poor breakfast, instant coffee sachets, no Irish breakfast.
Nothing. It was disgusting.
Everything about the place.
No wifi No breakfast Dirty room No cards accepted Reception had no change Guy in charge was useless
The room was fairly spacious.
The staff checked you in and then disappeared. You had to knock on doors to maybe get a question answered. There was little to no hot water in the bathroom. The rooms were run down and not really clean.
Location was perfect for the venue I was attending in the morning. The room was clean. The breakfast area & food was what was advertised...... Very clean and plentiful.
Not enough room for parking. Woken up to move car early am. The twin had a double bed and a fold up bed not suitable for someone with hip replacement. Shower area tiny. Would have liked full breakfast option ( extra charge)
Very old and run down. Toilet didn't flush properly. Kettle didn't work. Bathroom old. Staff was not very friendly just very matter of fact. Traffic was noisy. For the price would not recommend. Stayed in much nicer places for less.
