Its proximity to UCD and the N11. The fact that there was parking was an advantage. . The heat was not on in my room and I heard other guests complain also. Breakfast was fried eggs beans and toast and very small helpings. The chef explained that his relegion did not permit him to cook products derived from pigs. However there was no mention of this on the advertisment. Payment was demanded on arrival which left no recall if there was a complaint |

The location is good, close to UCD and to the city centre. Bus stop near the B&B. It was very cold during the night although the heating system was running. |

To be 100% honest, nothing at all did I like. The pleasant muslim lady greeted us & then it went down hill so fast I thought I was in hell. We actually stayed the following 3 days at 'The Days Hotel' in Dublin, which was pure heaven compared with the nightmare of Donny Brook Lodge. And it was only €35 Euros, Save yourself a seriously bad ordeal & book somewhere else, these filthy places need to be shut down. Ok, this is a brief note to all hotel stayers. I will seriously recommend you do not stay at this hotel. These are the negatives: 1/ The Hotel was freezing, no option to heat your room & the hallways were freezing, everywhere was dead cold. 2/ There was mould all over the rooms, it could be a health hazzard & was on the walls, the skirting & the ceiling, right on the bed as well. 3/ The grubby power socket in the room was not working 4/ Very damp & noisy (no double glazing) 5/ The shower was filthy. Mildew & mould everywhere, we did not use the shower, thats how bad it was 6/ The breakfast was disgusting, the sausage tasted like it was mouldy & smelt like a goat, poor servings off milk. Do not stay here, worst in my life, beware!!!!!!!!!!! |

Room full of light, plenty of space, comfy and clean. Wi-fi connection works perfectly, the staff is very polite, and the breakfast offered is of a very good level of quality Position is not so close to the centre, if you are in hurry for whatever reason you must know the timetable of the line 10, or be prepared to pay about € 15/ 20 for a taxi to the centre |

booked as i had an early ferry the next morning & it was one of the cheapest & reasonably close to port. clean & as stated room was quite cold & i do not find the cold normally. Hole in the towel supplied |

Cheap, great location beside hospital, leaving the lodge. toilet ran all night, cold tap didn't work. Shower was cold. No heating in the cold bedroom, bedroom was right on the entrance hall so we got to hear everyone else's movements. |

Location was just what I needed and the price was the cheapest I found online at short notice. Breakfast was fine.IT was Ok for what I needed, ie., a cheap place, for a short night,... so I didnt expect 5-star luxury. fairly tacky decor, but nothing shabby.. there were condensation marks in the shower, which were a little off-putting, and a small patch of damp on a corner wall to the front of the house.It faces onto a extremely busy dual carriageway, which wasnt too bad becasue I was thereon a Saturday night/ Sunday morning. This "hotel" is not suitable for any kind of aholiday or town break, but grand for the one night I wanted. |

Breakfast. the whole experince, we booked two rooms with twin bed, and once we were there, found out that both rooms had four twin beds, I asked about changing, I wanted to drop the one room so we all could be just one room, I was told that we could not do that, because the manager was not there and that it would be a problem. And the location was not what was stated on the website,it was not close to city center nor was it close to the ferryports either. |

asked for breakfast for 07.30 - I was informed I could have Continental style as the chef does not start until 08.00. Arrived downstairs to find dining room locked and nobody in site. Television in the room had poor reception |
