We had two nights in room 88 which is a spacious room with modern bathroom and flat screen TV. We eat breakfast in the bar which was excellent value but limited choice.
First night in room 88 which looked out to the outside central area, After going to bed we had to ask reception to move people making noise from this outside area which they did. Otherwise room was nice.
Had a great stay, friendly staff, good clean room, breakfast was delicious with a good selection to choose from.We throughly enjoyed our stay and will stay here again next time we visit Waterford.
Paying for Wifi and parking. These are the only thing that the hotel could improve!
TV set was a bit dated
Beautiful cosy little hotel. Friendly staff. Fantastic value for money.
Bar closed early enough.
Good size room, clean
Car parking not good and had to pay when they said would be free, also had to pay for wifi
location,shops etc. near beach.
Music until 2.30am on friday and saturday nights and unable to sleep
Nice atmosphere and lovely staff.
Rooms a bit difficult to locate. Numbers, floors, corridors very scatty.
Very helpful staff
Only a minute from main shopping areas and right across the road from bus centre
Great breakfast/good, helpful staff helped me with bus schedules. Bus station is right across the street/very comfortable room. Right in downtown near pubs, museums, Viking walls, good restaurants. And less than a block away from the Munster Express!
Woman doing seating for breakfast on day 3 of my 4-day stay was rude. Everyone else was very friendly.
We were first given a room over the courtyard right over the smoking area. We asked to be changed as we didn't want to have to listen to smokers all evening below us. However we were given a room right over the entrance to the hotel where smokers congregated and on the second night they were there until 4 .15 in the morning, so the joke was on us.
The staff were very helpful and friendly. Hotel was spotless clean.
There could be a bit more of a variety in the bar menu.
Bar and front of house staff
Meals in the bar were fantastic , highly recommended !!!
Room comfortable, staff accommodating, breakfast great
Parking across the street and some distance walk to Waterford Crystal where there is little parking. Location was not back only not as convenient as I would have liked.
noise at night
Everything about Dooleys Hotel is great . Food in Bar and Restaurant is excellent. Staff very friendly and efficient.
i liked the food & the service i got while i was there..I will stay there again
Well the TV in my room had only one station on it & i found that a big let down.It should have all the station's on it..
Nice staff, very central
The breakfast! Its a buffet style breaky, and it appears as if the food has been cooked for hours and is only warm.really, its a bad breaky, and iv stayed there before and the same thing happened, like, your neighbours, its so easy to order and cook it fresh.
Lovely welcome good food
Only downside was your night porter who we found v unfriendly and unhelpful
Bar and restaurant
Right on the waterfront. (Although my view was of a kebab takeaway and an amusement arcade) Nice lively bar, that does food till late. Firendly reception staff. Large spacious room
Door would not close properly. Making so you hard you had to literaly bang it to get it to lock. Staff constantly monopilising the lift for bagage. (For long long periods of time) Hairs on towels (Long hair. . I have short). . . when I arrived. (neadless to say I didn't use them.
I truly enjoyed my stay here while I took in Dublin. Its central to where I wanted to go, the staff was very helpful and accommodating. The morning breakfast was the best, I enjoyed every part of the experience. Thank you all you Dooly's staff for making my trip that much memorable. Cheers and a pint of Guinness for you all.
Food was good and service was fast and efficient. had evening meal of fish and it was presented perfectly and hit the spot after a long days traveling. Breakfast was a joy and plenty of everything. Despite being buffet style food was not dry or lacking in heat. All in all excellent hotel with very pleasant staff.
lack of residents lounge to sit down and relax, Bar was only option outside of bedroom. As a regular traveler I relish the chance to just sit down and relax in a comfortable space. Bad point for me was witnessing manager and staff having discussions in reception area. This does not look good and hearing internal problems should really not be for the ears of guests.
