Location was excellent House had everything we needed and staff were on hand for any questions or problems that might arise. Stayed with a group of friends, really enjoyable!!
enjoyed our stay thank you so much hope to be back next year
Spacious house .. bathrooms and bedrooms clean.. great location
No patio furniture.. kitchen / utensils / delph / cutlery dirty Oven not working .. tv only basic channels - mostly not working
The kitchen is well equipped. A nice size back garden.
No hairdryer in the house. Distance too far from village to walk with children
The key collect was a bit daunting and the staff were not clear on the booking arrangements. The need to strip the beds and dispose of rubbish from the premises on departure should be covered in the booking fee.
Nothing. The house was filthy. We left after one night despite having a booking for three nights.
Filthy carpets and furniture. Rusty fittings in bathroom. Loose ceiling fittings and broken sockets in bedroom and hallway. Alltogether in totally unacceptable condition for rental.
The location is fine, slightly out of the restaurant and shop areas of Doolin. The house is large and would be very comfortable if it weren't in such need of repair, renovation and amenities. This would be an okay place for an Irish family arriving in a well-packed car, but it is not for long-distance travelers.
We are traveling for seven weeks in carry-on suitcases. Nowhere did the reviews or descriptions say we would need to supply our own towels, and that is not something we pack. There was evidence of a lot of water damage, and there was a lot of mould. There were no instructions for the hot water and even after someone came to set it one of us had cold showers. The outside front door light was burned out, as were three of the four hall lights and a bedside lamp. We made our booking on a weekend, to arrive the next day, and there was no one working on the weekend so it took us well over an hour to find out how to get keys and where it was located.
Rooms were fine and beds were comfortable.
No explanation that keys and check-in were at the Lodge in Doolin. Facilities were okay but showed lots of wear. Many little things in need of repair from loose toilet seats and stained chairs to fridge door held shut with cord. Only place we stayed at in Ireland where towels and heat were an extra charge.
Not where it said on the map and I was told that it a problem we were out £50 on taxi other than that we were happy with the house thank.
Oven not working. Lots of missing lightbulbs. No towels. Poorly equipped.
A home away from home with everything you needed while away. The staff in the local shop and petrol station were very friendly and helpful.
ESB price for 3 days rose from the expected €21 (€7 x 3) to €52 which is very expensive.
nice, quiet, picturesque location
No chance to get money from ATM in Doolin. Card are not accepted for payment of electricity and dog
The location was nice
Plates and cups all chipped and filthy like never been washed from previous holiday makers Bulbs missing from light We were told it was pet friendly but not at all completely open to the road We were told €5 a day for electricity after 3 days they charged us €43 Light switches glued to the wall And last but not least single room bed linen covered in hairs . Disgusting ,,
Location between Lisdoonvarna and Doolin was ideal
Expected to pay 5Euro per night for electricity. We stayed 3 nights and were charged 36Euros!?! Fridge did not close properly so we were being charged for electricity for broken fridge. Plus electric shower in bathroom was cold.
Overall the accommodation was good. Very spacious. Comfortable beds. Brilliant location for access to restaurants and bars, but not too close to be disturbed by it. Easy access for local attractions too.
The booking process was confusing. We had to drive somewhere else to pick up the keys, but this wasn't mentioned in any of the correspondence. The accommodation itself needed some basic maintenance.
