We enjoyed our stay at the Downhill Inn very much. The rate was great value, the room was very comfortable and the food was excellent. My main critcism is in relation to the number of staff on-duty in the evening, One member of staff was the receptionist, bar man and waiter and consequently the quality of service was compromised, despite his best efforts. One person shouldn`t be expected to perform all of those duties. I also heard one of the managers giving out to a member of staff quite loudly which I think is very unprofessional. I also think that the decor needs updating. The Inn has a lot to offer and the decor lets it down a bit.

Priced right for the festival night that it was , though if priced less would stay more often. Basic wants and needs were meet. Should have done something to sell the breakfast, take it or leave it attitude. Not for those seeking comfort and atmosphere on their holidays.

Situated well to access town and countryside. Noisy at night-i could here parties for 2 of the 3 nights we stayed. Shower/bath water was only lookwarm-cold both in the morning and at night outside of 'peak' times.Despite booking and requesting on line, a travel cot was not in the room when we arrived, (but was promptly set up later after requesting it).

Very little. The hot water did not work, the room was basic ammenities and the bed was poor, lumpy, difficult to sleep in and should not have been in use at all. The cost to stay there for services provided was too high, and the cost for breakfast for basic breakfast was the most expensive of what we have encountered in all our hotels.

The friendlisness of the staff and in particular Padraig. He took great care of us when we were down for a wedding over Christmas. The rooms were warm and cleaned and we had fresh towel left in every day. The bar food was also delicious.. Need better sports channels in the bar

Quiet time only one member of staff on but she was very willing to help. The few people staying were loud and banging on doors late into the night and early the next morning. Not sure the staff member was able to control this.
