We went for a weekend break and could not fault this hotel for its service, comfort etc., The weather was not great and it was great to have the option of eating in the Bistro. I liked the fact that there were Irish staff at the tables for breakfast and in the Bar. There were two lovely girls serving in the restaurant on Saturday night and were very friendly and lovely smiles and the next morning one of them was serving breakfast and she asked us about the previous night and was clear she remembered us from the Bistro, that we were not just a "number" at the table. You do not get that interaction with foreign staff. So well done to Dromhall for recognising that Irish staff is what people want in the hospitality industry. I did not like the fact that dogs are allowed into the bedrooms. No matter how well a room is hoovered and particularly carpets, it is not hygienic and many other guests commented on this also. I have four dogs myself so I am a dog lover, however, they are only allowed on tiled areas of the house and no allowed on soft furnishings or carpets and definitely not allowed near bedrooms. I think you should review this policy.

The staff were the friendliest we have ever met at a hotel. Quiet and very close to town. Best massage ever. No complaints but would have loved a jacuzzi.

The character of the hotel inside The service at breakfast. Girl was not friendly. Did not even look at us when she was serving. She was just doing a job without any pleasure. It was not nice at all.

Ideal situation. Short walk into town and it is also on the muckross rd out of killarney which is perfect for exploring the mountains and lakes. It is pet friendly which is the reason we chose this hotel over others in the area. There is a good spa facility available also. I would recommend this hotel especially if travelling with a pet. Also, bar food is excellent. Fish is fresh.

Close to town Had requested gluten free menu but no gluten free bread available first day we were told to request it at reception if we wanted it . Staff unfriendly even though hotel was quiet. Reception staff did not even look up from computer to say good morning, Told to get our own ice from bar although literature in room said to ask at reception for it,

We got a pretty good deal, however if it wasn't for the special offer we would not pay the asking price. The breakfast was very very very poor, for the amount of money. You could have got a more decent meal in the city center for a lot less. My advise not to include the breakfast, eating out works out cheaper and you actually feel like you have eaten something.

Loved the olde worlde environment. Was lovely coming back after busy day for swim, food then relax by open fire with glass of red wine. All staff were friendly, helpful and chatty. I booked the Dromhall but was upgraded to Randles (sister hotel) absolutely lovely. If price was same again would definately book here.

The friendly receptionists. Guests were also friendly & one felt secure in the hotel. I would prefer if there less steps in the entrance to the bar from the hotel. This area seemed dark & I felt it could seem difficult for older people.

Convenient. Right price. Very comfortable. Should have planned to stay another night. One of the best places I stayed in Ireland and would highly recommend staying at this hotel. It was an easy walk into town and Killarney is a lovely area.

Although a short visit, we found the room basic and showing signs of wear; no air conditioning and no attempt at sound proofing. Not deserving of a 4 star classification.
