- Five minute walk to pubs/restaurants/shops - Delicious breakfast with several options - Welcoming & knowledgeable owner - Free wi-fi
- The shower very easily leaked into the rest of the bathroom, leaving a soggy mess of towels behind if you were not strategic with the curtains & shower head. - Although the walk to town is short, it is NOT well lit. Make sure to bring a phone with a flashlight on it if you will be walking home past dark.
Friendly service, comfortable and great food.
Martin is a fine host, a great cook, and a friendly helpful guide. The room is attractive and comfortable, good sized, room for all our stuff, the bathroom is nice too, good shower. Extremely clean. The area is charming. We want to go back soon. We like the donkey that lives up the road. Walking distance to shops, pier and pubs for live music and food.
Not a thing!
Very friendly welcome, enjoyable stay from start to finish, great location
My mom and I finally decided to visit Ireland and we were not disappointed. Not only is Doobhlin house is a breathtaking area, you have an awesome view of the landscape and you can hear the water. There is space to walk around and really soak in the Irish countryside. From the moment we got there, Martin was the kindest and most helpful person I've ever met. He is so sweet and funny and he made us feel right at home. The rooms were great; super clean and very comfy. Martin is an excellent cook and I really enjoyed my Irish breakfast! I highly recommend it. You can't beat the genuine hospitality and compassion that is Martin, especially when it is in such a beautiful setting.
Martin, the owner, was incredibly nice and accommodating considering we didn't realize 7pm was the last time to check-in and we arrived late. Breakfast was delicious. Stayed in a triple room and it was incredibly comfortable!
Wi-fi a little slow. But the town is so gorgeous you hardly end up using it.
Martin gave great welcome and was very helpful
The place is spotless and still homey. Martin is a wonderful host! Just a short walk to restaurants/pubs. Very good breakfast. Can't wait to go back!
Martin was very friendly. Breakfast was excellent. Easy walking distance to pubs with wonderful music.
Tiny twin beds. We didn't plan to have twin beds - expected at least a double.
Large room for two of us (booked the family room with 1 double and 1 single so that we would have space to move - we're 2 friends). Martin is a great host - provided us with lots of information and suggestions of what to do and see. Good cooked breakfasts - omelet very good. Small window but nice to have a distant view of sea and cliffs. Good location - difficult to not be in Doolin!
We were generally comfortable and felt welcome here but there are a few simple things that could be improved and which would make a huge difference. Shelf desperately needed in the shower which is very small - it's very awkward to bend down to pick up bottles off the floor. A bigger person would have difficulty even getting through the doors into the shower. Carpet really needs replacing - it's rather stained. Beds would benefit from better or perhaps just newer mattresses. Wifi variable but very weak most of the time.
Marty was very welcoming and helpful with info about Doolin. Breakfast was great and cooked fresh. Rooms were clean, wifi worked well. TV was from outdated, but it wasn't missed.
The pillows were too flat & stiff, but that was a problem in all hotels we stayed in Ireland
Owner very accommodating. Breakfast was very good with better than usual options. Outstanding view of the Cliffs of Moher from second floor. Within walking distance to restaurants and bars. Lovely quiet B&B. Extremely clean.
No TV in room. Lack of storage, no dresser or shelves in my room.
Martin is an excellent host. The B&B was clean and in an excellent location with walking distance to great pubs with live music. The best was Martin's recommendation.
We were able to hear some sound from other guests in other rooms but it was never intrusive
- breakfasts! - very helpful information and guidance on places to visit in the area - very friendly host
- stay was too short (hope to be back soon) - difficult to stick to diet!
situated off the busy main road, Dubhlinn House provided us with a large room & spotless ensuite. Martin's breakfast were tasty & varied, with a number of dishes to choose from. Martin was a very genial host, providing suggestions of where to eat in the evenings (all of which were excellent local Pubs), spots to visit and most importantly for my husband, advising him as to where he might catch a fish. this is an excellent place to stay to explore the Cliffs of Moher, travel out to the nearby Islands or take a tour through the Burren.
No television in room, as advertised
lovely place, lovley location, nice and clean, and comfertable.
arrived at 1:10pm, rang bell twice, was greeted by one angry man because i woke him up, devoured me for turning up before 2pm, i apologised for turning up early but he still went on about it, then after all that he tells me he has a twin room for us instead of the double that i booked, at this stage after been treated like a child i just said its ok, i had enough of him at this stage. and as another review on here states, no tv in room as stated. was just finished the breakfast and was told not to forget to be out by 10:30, as i was paying him i apolagised again about turning up early and he had to give one more little dig about it again. lovely B&B, but the way i was treated as a paying guest is just not good enough.
Fabulous location to town and Cliffs of Moher and super friendly owner. Great breakfast too.
It's a nice little B&B and we felt very welcome. The breakfast was great and we got a lot of tips for sightseeing and which pubs were the best for food and music. It was a lovely stay.
Doolin itself is excellent. The welcome at the b and b was warm, the room clean and the breakfasts were excellent... Try the locally sourced smoked salmon!
bed was a little hard
Martin was a great host, room was very nice and spacious , breakfast was very nice, great location.
We stayed two nights at the start of August. Doolin had a busy tourist atmosphere, but yet was relaxed and quaint. The b and b is down a little cul-de-sac which is very private. It is within walking distance of the pier where you can get the ferry to the islands or around the cliffs of moher. Lovely rocky bit at the pier where we saw dolphins swim at sunset. Our host Martin was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was lovely. Great value for money! Numerous bars/restaurants/cafes all within walking distance. Everything was just perfect!
Martin, the owner, was very kind and helpful during our stay. The breakfast was fantastic
Martin is your perfect host and serves a terrific breakfast of scrambled eggs and smoked salmon.
It's a perfect place to stay for vacation!
