Score from 578 reviews Very good
Boasting an all-you-can-eat breakfast and free Wi-Fi, this modern hostel is located just off Dublin's famous O'Connell Bridge. Guests can enjoy 24-hour reception, a cinema room and nightly pub crawls....
Score from 757 reviews Good
Reception is on level 5-star hotel. If I compare this hostel with hostels from Munich, Praha, Amsterdam, Wien,... For the same price i get much much more. I can definitely recommend this hostel.
This hostel is great for low budget travellers since it is quite cheap. The location is good (less than 15 minutes walk from O'Connell street), rooms are clean and staff are nice. I liked the free breakfast even though I wouldn't mind having some fruits or cheese as well.
There aren't enough sockets in the rooms so you have to charge your devices in the church restaurant or in the halls, which can be pretty annoying. Wifi is very poor in the rooms. The showers could be cleaner.
Big Space, Big Self Service kitchen, Free Parking, Free Wifi, Best Free Breakfast. Always Room Availability for booking. Low Cost and value for money.
The 2nd floor shower is not functioning properly; sudden cold water arise in the middle of shower. Need calibration. No Wifi in all the room e.g. in room 402, 406 etc. requires additional modem in the male dormitory. Old damaged electric socket in the rooms the church restaurant, need to be replaced.
I liked hostel atmosphere. No any complaints. I had nice time there .:-)
it's not the best hostel, but also isn't the worst. They need to give more attention to the good treatment to customers, being nice and welcoming..
the spanish receptionist should be more friendly and helpful.
Free breakfast was nice...
Duvet covers where not changed from a the previous guest!! Plus there was one single power outlet for 8 people sharing!! I couldn't charge my phone so I no phone the following day....
The attitudes of the staff and the breakfast.
when I mean hostel, I think exactly like this hostel. Very good travel atmosphere. Clean, well-organised, friendly.
In the late morning (9-10 AM) there might be no hot water in the shower, when there is a lot of people.
Big rooms, breakfast in "church restaurant", facilities: kitchen, dinning room, tv room, sofas next to the entrance, localisation, staff
a little bit cold water under the shower
Great location. Beds were hard but not to complain with the amount of money we paid which was next to nothing. Would stay again!
Room (306B) was very spacious, with a small seating area in the window and large lockers for each bed. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Showers were filthy, drain was clogged.
The bed was comfy and the breakfast was basic but still good quality! I paid £25 for two nights at the weekend which is excellent value for money. The staff are helpful and friendly.
The door to the room was Broken and the framework was falling off and the showers were freezing cold and the toilets were dirty! Needs a little bit of attention here and there! I would stay here again if the issues were delt with!
* A short walk from the top of O Connell street, a cheap taxi ride into town- or a brief-ish walk. * VERY cheap, the cheapest I have ever paid in Europe- 15 euros for a 6 bed, female dorm a few days after xmas. *A free breakfast served in an old chapel!! (adjoining hostel) *VERY warm rooms!! *Handed clean linen when you check in *Nice communal area where people were relaxing and mingling. *Nice, efficient staff *Super clean
*Hard to wash you face as water stops when you are not pushing it down *10am check out (but then you can go and have your breakfast, I think)
Large public area, friendly staff, WiFi is accessible easily.
Shower water is not cold enough, labeled food still easy get stolen and the staff don't let us check CCTV...
The lockers wasn't in good conditions in my room
Staff and breakfast were very good
sheets provided keycard doors good atmosphere
I was knitting in the foyer and got to chat to others. The people staying were highly respectful and friendly. I was delighted to get a great night's sleep on a budget and will do it again.
It was all good
Rude staff who talk behind customers backs As I wwitnessed several times .Manageress is very rude . Everything is rundown and dirty . Showers are cold . Toilets dirty . If you complain about this place then they ring all other hostels in Ireland and have you blocked from staying there too . I would not waste money staying here again . Some of the revues on this place are written by staff of the hostel .
The staff is really friendly and helpful. The breakfast is alright. Location is good! Warm insides The place is awesome as well. Loved the tv room
wifi only in the public areas Not enough electric sockets in the room The showers are on the basement. So they're cold and you need to keep a button pressed in order to get water
The girl who checked me in was v rude & didn't make any effort to make me feel welcome. I booked (& paid) for a 6 bedroom & I got a 8 bedroom, when I complained they said there wouldn't be more than 6 in the room -but that wasn't my point-. They rent towels at €5/each !!! (They were €2 not too long ago). Their breakfast cups seem to get smaller & smaller. The water in the showers doesnt last even 1 sec on without holding it. I have been in this hostel more than 20 times during the years but it will be my last time. Service and quality gone down the hill. A pity though. Slán.
the location is very good, helpful staff,
extremely noisy, cold water when having a shower, only one plug in the room,
Staff . location. Breakfast
Cold shower . Lockers are not secure even when locked and should be in the hallways covered by a camera. when people are sleeping they make too much noise . By the smell of the Douvet covers they have never been cleaned .
Nice friendly staff . Good free breakfast . Great location .
Not sure how ofter douvet covers are changed but they smell bad .Not enough plug sockets . Cold shower . Two cleaning staff members constantly in each others face even in the breakfast hall and communal kitchen . For god sake get a room as we don't want to see them all over the building checking out each others tonsils . Good to see people in love but Very unprofessional and I didn't pay to see this while I am trying to eat food . They really need to tone it down in front of other visitors.
Breakfast is good and staff friendly . Good located .
Showers are cold. dirty and run down and really smell not enough plug sockets in the rooms . Privacy in the male shower/toilet room is poor as by the sinks there is a huge window where people in the apartments oposite stand and stare into ... needs frosted glass at the least . Kitchen needs another kettle or put one upstairs in the church area .
