ambience, friendly staff, excellent food, both in main restaurant and bar
shower in a bath-one would expect a self contained shower.Apart from that there was no safety rail for getting out of the bath having had a shower.
The solitude; quietness, the relaxing atmosphere, the luxurious surroundings, the FOOD
Very relaxing and comfortable stay in Dunbrody house, found the "local pub" charming and lively. We enjoyed a beautiful meal in the house on the evening of our arrival, the food was superb and the waiting staff faultless. dunbrody is located within easy reach of many tourist sights such as hook head, loftus house and lots of beaches, which we enjoyed visiting during our stay here.
General building ambiance ; customer service , food
Rooms tired. Faded curtains. Wallpaper peeling. Tiles in math room floor cracked
Situation, food, ambiance, welcome, It was all such a Happy time. Thanks.
The rooms, grounds, location, bar and breakfast.
The Menu was shockingly poor and food was average. Wine menu was excessively expensive considering the food menu was so limited.
The old features of the house The food was very good although expensive.
Better use could be made of the surrounding ground, like a large walk through garden.
Great bed and huge room. Food was exquisite. Like the addition of the Local which we were not aware of before we booked.
Couches in room had stains.
Lovely staff. Formal yet homely. Very comfy bed.
FOIE GRAS AND PIMMS JELLY AND YOGHURT FOAM ,OMG WHAT CAN I SAY!!!!!!!!!!
the warm welcome my sister and I received when we arrived, Our room was lovely and comfotable, and had a good night sleep. Staff very helpful, lovely grounds. breakfast every thing you want was excellent, Thanks for the lovely tea and hot scones when we arrived.
there is noting that I did not like.
The staff were just so attentive. Our flight from London was delayed on the evening booked but the person at the end of the phone said that the chef would remain on once he knew we were running late.In the event we arrived before the chef's cut off time! Still nice to know... The peace and quiet, a great restorative after the hustle and bustle of London. The gardens. The option to have breakfast later in the morning till 12.00. The food was wonderful.
The lighting in the dining room was too dull, difficult to read menus.
Lovely grounds around hotel, room was spacious, staff were friendly, evening meals were very nice
The breakfast was disappointing, fry was undercooked, rasher was pure fat, flies were landing on the breakfast buffet. The bathroom shower kept going hot and cold
a lovely building and the pub the stables
the smell of sewage out side, it was so bad my wife threw up her dinner, breakfast very disappointing
The room was comfortable and well decorated lovely and clean
service at dinner was very slow the food was fine nothing special, far too expensive for whats there.
Quality of service Attention to detail Lack of freshness of facilities
The house has a wonderful rustic charm and is very comfortable. The highlight was the fabulous dinner in the resturant. It was a very high standard and we both really enjoyed sititng at table 20 beside the garden window. The staff were courteous and could not have been more helpful.
The only downside was that we were awoken by a loud buzzing noise from the central heating system at 7.30am on Saturday morning. It continued for about 45 minutes until a helful staff member discovered the cause. I felt that the hotel offered fair rather then exceptional value for money
We thought setting amazing but the food did not live up to expectation. How could a hotel of this standard server hard poached eggs!!! Menu choice disappointing
Loved the house and the rooms. Beautiful location, staff were very friendly.
Maybe our expectations were too high for the food but a bit disappointed. Starter were ok and for main course we had beef dish for 2 served on a platter with veg and salad, but the beef was not tender. Did not have a desert.
Nice large rooms and excellent breakfast. Ground were nice and all the better for having a pub in them. Dinner was pleasant enough and well served, although a rather long wait to take the order. Staff were all very pleasant and helpful, all the time.
Nothing much. If I wanted to be picky, it was a bit difficult to get a second drink before dinner as no-one was manning the bar. Also, the deep gravel on the approach to the hotel was fairly terrifying on a motorcycle.
Relaxing friendly comfortable
I thought the restaurant at €65 a head was over priced even though the food was very good it was still expensive considering Kevin wasn't present , which was disappointing . I would also like to sign for items purchased in the hotel when asked for my room number this way I can see exactly what I bought . Next time I go I will pay for my food each time
Everything was perfect
Food was excellent, staff were helpful and willing
Room rather small and stuffy. Decor quite jaded
Lovely house in a super location and very friendly relaxing atmosphere
My chicken was a little over cooked
