Nice location rooms are very dated in general the interior could do with a spruce up and the exterior a lick of paint. |

We were very dissapointed ! Poor welcome on arrival told to go up three steps to the right, lift not working infact it was twi flights not shown where or asked if we needed helpp with luggage. One tea bag on the tray , plug fallig out of the wall on the opposite side of the tray. Nice young blonde friendly waitress in the dinning room only her the other staff were in groups chatting and not very interested in the guests,! would not stay there ever again. Also a a cheek to ask for six days to cancel where all other hotels and bookings are 24 hours before. Very poor Beautiful views. I think your manager should visit the Westport Hotel and see what a welcome guests and generally the service of the hotel from the arrival at the door to the departure. Excellent Hotel in comparison. |

Beautiful old house and beautiful grounds While I appreciate furniture in room was antique and very old it was chipped and there were cigarette burns on both bedside lockers, and on the bedspread. The smell of cigarettes in the room was very strong and the headboard was absolutely stink even though we had requested a non-smoking room at reception. The tiles on the bathroom floor were cracked quite badly and overall I had a very poor experience of this room. In the hotel in general, the keys with the long keyring were ridiculous and outdated. The door to the room was scuffed and dirty and badly in need of paining as was the whole corridor we were on. The lift wasn't working and we had 2 big bags to haul up to the top floor all up stairs. |

The grounds around it are lovely as its on a golf course, and the staff where friendly.Friends of ours stayed in the apartments outside which are really nice. Much better value for money It was a little bit run down, our room could really have done with a good paint, in fact the whole place could do with a paint. |

The food here was very good in the evening. Breakfast was average...thought we'd moved on from deep fried sausages. Rooms and loobby desperately need a make over!!!! So old fashioned and cheaply decorated. Was like a B and B from 20 years ago!! They really need to spend some money... a few tins of paint and rolls of wall paper would make such a difference!!! |

Relax by the big open fire. Very good Guinness. Very quiet. Friendly staff. Personal attention by the owner, once at the dinner table in the evening and once in the morning by checking out. |

the peace and tranquility of the setting and the fact of my being allocated a room well away from other guests to enable me to work. they were very thoughtful and accommodating to my strange requests. the heating in my room, apparently, didnt work. i didnt raise it with staff however, because i didnt actually get around to it! |
