Difficult at first to navigate way around hotel
Good was good rooms warm
Question cleanliness of rooms hair grips on bathroom floor n dresser not cleaned properly
Stayed here recently for a wedding. Found staff very nice. The room was difficult to find & the function room impossible. Everyone was getting lost. Dinner was to an excellent standard and very tasty. Breafast was terrible. Wasn't even edible. There was no hot water for shower in the evening time but there was the following morning. Room was old. shaky old furniture and alot of things in need of repair. Hotel looks lonely from outside and the grounds our stunning. Room had an impressive view. Also the walls are paper thin. Could hear everything going on in surrounding rooms and hall.
food was excellent
lift not working when checking in. Then having to walk through two reception areas full of people with our bags and then up three flights of stairs ,still carrying our bags to get to our bedroom. The knobs in drawers in bedroom came away in our hands when we tried to open them also bath filthy,
Food was excellent, lovely setting and scenery .
Room could do with a revamping. Furniture out-dated and tatty .
(1) Peacefulness of the location. (2) Size of room and bathroom was very good. (3) Grounds were lovely. (4) I attended for a wedding and function room was beautifully decorated. (5) Finger food and meal for wedding waere gorgeous. (6) Although somewhat oldfashioned, hotel had great character and was very clean..
(1) Although the character of the property was charming, it could do with some upgrading. (2) Breakfast was poorly presented and choice was poor. Staff were a little scattered......although very pleasant. (3) My bedroom door was right alongside back entrance from function room.....directly behind band\music and I found it difficult to sleep as people came and went and noise level was high. This apparently is the nearest stairs linking function room to bedroom and not appropriate area for bedroom.(4) I wasn't asked on checkout how I enjoyed my stay as I would have explained about noise....
Beautiful setting and great food.
The hotel needs alot of refurbishment especially the ensuites. Lifts were broken making it a long trek to the 3rd floor.
Initial room was nice.We had asked for a view.shower didn't work so they moved us to a larger room in an even quieter part of hotel which was great.breakfast in morning good with nice view of golf course. When staff knew it was our anniversary prior to arrival they left a nice bottle of wine in room.Reception staff very good.apologetic and very nice moving us to better room.
Just the fact that if I hadn't wanted a shower after arrival I wouldn't have found out it was faulty until the next morning.also bar staff in cocktail bar kept disappearing!
Good food, excellent service. Room very clean & comfortable
Very confusing to get around at times
Lovely setting, felt like i was staying in Downton abbey!!! Room was lovely and big and also very warm.
The breakfast wasn't amazing for the price of the accommodation. The service in the hotel was a little slow, there was a bit of a mix up with my room and it wasn't cleaned on the second day. I asked for an Iron and the one i got didn't work. There was a lot of noise until about 2am close to my room on one of the nights.
Great location Food was excellent Lovely staff-very friendly and helpful
Beautiful grounds great place to take a walk.dining room staff excellent
Reception staff peremptory
Comfortable bed, lovely food, pool and golf course.
Temperature of baby pool could of been warmer.
Service, quality of food at dinner. From the time you arrive until you leave, you are treated like a special guest. John the Bellman starts and ends this fantastic experience for you. The rest of the staff continues to make your stay enjoyable.
There was no heating in the room when we asked we were told we do get a heater non arrived room was like an ice box dinner service very slow place could do with a good up grade .found building as a hole very cold lay out very confusing we payed 130 for a very out of date and cold room got better room in travel lodge for a 3rd of the price .was hoping to get a discount or something
Location and surrounds: golfcourse view very impressive Food/breakfast
Bed/mattress Broken bedside light
Everything!! The hotel was superbly presented, we were lucky with a large room which had a very rustic feel without feeling 'old-fashioned'. I would recommend Dundrum in a heartbeat.
Nothing to say here... ...If you're visiting the Rock of Cashel then please stay here!!
Called to check if late checkout available. Was given extra hour for free. Friendly members and staff in pro shop. Free use of pool, jacuzzi, steam room, dunno and gym included. Lovely views on the course, almost like an American parkland course on the back 9
Its not dirty but the leisure centre could maybe be bleached. Looks a bit dated from general wear and tear. Jacuzzi water was barely warm on both days. Should be hot.
Fantastic golf course.
food was ok
I liked nothing about this hotel
Hotel grounds are stunning
Rooms very difficult to find & lifts didn't work
Loved the old setting nice pool facilities
Unfortunately i felt the hotel was quite run down an looked uncared for! Was really looking forward to staying at an old house hotel but sadly it wasnt what i was expecting and certainly not what i paid for! Asked staff about the history of the old house hotel and was directed to leaflets one A4 page with about two paragraphs of history! Felt staff had no interest in the history, the hotel and or their guests! Room very dated!
Not a lot
Room was untidy, lifts didn't work, light switches in the room were confusing
Not enough staff to serve breakfast and both were getting confused at who they were serving. THE OWNER SHOULD COME AND HELP SERVE BREAKFAST
Door Handle nearly feel off the bathroom and if we had not reported it someone could have got locked in. Needs a lot of maintenance, dies not live up to the hype.
Scenery was good , staff were friendly in the bar area - nice walks around the golf course ..
No wifi in room Only diningg area in a noisy bar where kids were running around Room facilities poor (bad light, issues with socets, issue with TV, clear glass in bathroom to outside world
