Staff were lovely, food and accommodation great value.
Lovely shower. Comfortable bed. Nice breakfast
Outside looks a bit disappointing but inside, excellent. Large bedroom, very comfortable bed. Lovely food and very helpful staff. Would stay again and recommend.
Reasonably good food available in the bar. Premium double rooms are very comfortable and great value.
Thermostat in my room wasn't working
The bed was very comfortable
The oner had poor manners. Not a nice man!
Small town for a quiet couple of days. Close enough to make day trip to Sligo and visit to Boyle for farmer's market. All staff were friendly and welcoming. Meals were good.
Good Value for Money
Toilet seat was damaged
Food was excellent pub grub
Room had no view what so ever -window looked into internal roofed courtyard
On the Sat night of our stay we arrived back from working shortly after 9pm starving, and asked if you were still serving and were told by a "blonde" haired female barmaid that "food was finished being served" much to our dissapointment. We then got bags of crisps with our drink to make up for no food. However 15 mins later a couple with 2 children arrived in and ordered a meal and were served. Others were also been served. Young girl with black hair was most helpful and friendly while serving our drinks and crisps. We didn't make an issue of this at the time.....we were way too tired! Hopefully for the future all your bar staff will be on the "one" wavelength.
Very large and spacious room, good size bathroom, excellent breakfast in the morning.
The only issue was the distance from the front desk to our specific room; other rooms were much closer.
Great Value Nice Room
Building can be confusing to navigate.
They showed us one of their rooms in a new wing that they had only just renovated which was a lot quieter and a larger room which was lovely. The staff were quiet happy to move us without any extra charges.
Room was satisfactory but the noise from the exhaust fan from the kitchen downstairs was unbearable. The only reason I wouldn't recommend would be the distance from the coast and attractions.
Good value, food and room were very good
Staff were pleasant but under a bit of pressure when busy so had a wait
Stayed at Durkins for 3 nights 22 - 25 Aug as visiting area for family reunion. Had a pleasant stay. Large room and bathroom with modern decoration and shower and separate bath. Rooms were cleaned and fresh towels provided every day including clean cups for tea, coffee etc. No disturbance at night as at back of hotel. Good breakfast and dinner in bar. Friendly staff, very helpful when trying to book hire car. Overall good experience and would definitely recommend.
Room was long way from reception, up lift to second floor then long walk through corridors and down a flight of stairs. Was ok for me but bit much for elderly mother, though to be fair had requested to be in annexe as these are premium rooms but not really aware of distance. It meant that mother needed to be accompanied to room and back which was abit of a nuisance but did not spoil stay. Some issues with cleanliness in room ie dead fly on windowsill, bin liner with rubbish in left on chair (think it had been forgotten).
Staff Quality of food Quantity of food
Hardness of bed
The friendliness of the staff. Room very clean and comfortable.
Hallway and stairs need sprucing up. Lack of bus connections.
staff frendly and helpful breakfeast good and plenty of it
very dear comparing too wicklow or dublin for 1 nights stay
Staff are very attentive and efficient. Food is excellent and good value for money. Very slightly tired decor in some parts but for a 3 star it has lots going for it and the premier room was nicely done out. Have stayed here before and would stay again.
Not really a negative but It's a big place and our room was one of the furthest from reception which was fine for us but is worth requesting a room closer if you have a disability - there is a lift.
Jerry the manager was great, from check in to check out he took great care of our family. We booked three separate rooms for us and our adult children. They were all large comfortable rooms with updated decor. Pub was quite busy at lunchtime. Good food.
A bit tricky finding way to and from room from pub. Not much to do around Roscommon area.
Alterations being undertaken, room very dusty, carpet badly patched, general feeling no one really cared! Loft type window in ceiling with no blind so difficult to sleep after dawn. Pity!
food and staff good.
no room service
no one in the bar that you have a chat with
Very central, very welcoming and the food is excellent. Staff always pleasant
That I couldn't stay longer
The location here is fine. That's the only positive thing I can say about this B&B.
The decor and furnishings are the cheapest and most basic anyone can imagine. I ate in the bar the night of my arrival. I had the steak sandwich. I ordered it to be cooked medium rare. It was well done and pretty tough. Breakfast was OK. More like you would find in a busy 2 star hotel. Generally get much, much better in most of Ireland's good B&Bs. I certainly wouldn't bring my family here.
Staff very friendly and helpful. They have amd an interconnecting room whilst I stayed there with my elderly parents. They serve gluten free bread also. Definitely return
