Score from 14 reviews Wonderful
Everything. It was on of the best B&B that I had during my tour. Central location for Donegal. Perfectly calm. Music in the local pub on Friday's.
nothing to complain. :-)
Beautiful location. Lovely people. Comfortable room. Great facilities. Amazing value.
The location and the scenery The friendliness of the proprietors The comfort
B&B was lovely and clean, food was great and in grey location, break was good value for money. Overall we would highly recommend it.
Anne and Rainer were the most wonderful hosts, couldn't do enough to make our stay very enjoyable! We stayed in the self catering annx, which was more than adequate and spotlessly clean. The breakfast was wonderful! From meats, cheeses and even smoked salmon along with a wonderful selection of jams and breads and THEN a full Irish Breakfast! Our Host took us to the pub for a traditional night! Talk about beyond the call of dutiful host! Would highly recommend this wonderful B&B to anyone!!!
Hosts were very pleasant and easy going, good chats. Breakfast was great, nice variety for all sorts of tastes, homemade jams, choice of cold cuts and cheeses, eggs were fresh and amazing. Cute area with sea view, great for walks, peaceful, good getaway from city buzz. Balu, their dog was awesome and cheerful, took us on a walk and showed us the way, super cute. Cute, clean, very comfy room and huge bed, clean bathroom, German Tv. Great stay, will definitely come back!
Very scenic area and so peaceful. Lovely hostess and great breakfast
Bit far off the beaten track
Ane and Rainer are the true soul of the B&B. Their kindness, their caring attitude and their dedication to make their guests comfortable is remarkable. The romms are nice, and the breakfast, in typical Irish fashion, are savoury and plentiful (Vielen Danke Rainer, Ich liebe Bavarian Würste !). We left Eagle's Nes with regrets, and will certainly come back soon. Beautifully located, great accomodation, and to enhane this one of the best couple of hosts we have ever met.
Anne and Rainer purchased this house in a semi-finished state. Nothing to do with their design but, whenever feasible, they should try to boost the soundprofing. Nothing to spoil your nights, and we had many very long ones at Eagle's Nest, but a surprise the first night...
Clean room but nothing else.
I think that other reviews are friends of the hosts or simply trolls. It is nothing like to the photos or descriptions. In fact, the descriptions must be of a different B&B. This so called b&b is simply a room, with a little ensuite in a tiny chalet style house. We have enjoyed stays in dozens of B&Bs and we have never felt less welcome. We felt like we were uninvited guests at a private party. The hosts did not care if we were there or not. Supposedly non smoking but the hosts smoke on the balcony area ... so guests are unable to use this area. Lounge area is the tiny house area, messy and uncomfortable. The hosts are German and therefore any "Satellite tv" is German only. Our room was clean but in an attic ... anyone over 5ft 6" will bang heads. Bed was terrible. Terrible experience, definately go elsewhere.
Very friendly and wonderful hospitality. Lovely people! Loved my bedroom and bathroom and wanted to stay longer. Beautiful location.
Great little self-catering apartment in a lovely spot and nice breakfast. Warm and welcoming host and hostess. Fantastic beach a few kilometres away. Good area for cycling and jogging. Loved their animals, especially funny little Balu.
Very much enjoyed our weekend at the Eagles Nest. Ann, our host, was very welcoming and treated us as part of her family.
Anna, the proprietor is very welcoming and truly enjoys making a stay there memorable. Great variety of food and tea or fruit on request. A real treasure.
Our only dislike was the location, which was a bit far out of town on a very twisty road, but that is no fault of the lovely host and hostess.
Definetely above the usual. Was prepared to supply lunch and evening meal at short notice and both exellent
Comfortable, friendly and relaxed. Good food. Very keen to please guests. Tranquil peaceful location.
Ground at parking outside was sandy/mucky and dirt was easily trampled into car. I suggest that parking area should be at least stoned with clean stone.
Very comfortable and a great view and very nice people!
Best B&B I've been to so far. Exceptionally friendly hosts, everything was super-clean, dream location, very quiet and cozy. Gorgeous breakfast (full Irish made to order and a large selection of continental breakfast as well).
Lovely host, nice quiet spot. Yum breakfast. Definitely recommend. It is a small space in the upstairs of the appartment but it didn't bother us at all
Beautiful Bed & Breakfast and magical location - would thoroughly recommend. Supurb breakfast. Will go back again.
This is a great place to go if you want a nice peaceful holiday . I was able to take my dog with me that in itself was wonderful as so many places do not allow this. Anna the lady who owns the b and b is a lovely person and made me very welcome and directed me to all the lovely beaches and towns nearby,i hope to return sometime .
The location was great. Everything that could be done for you was done. Room was excellent. Great value.
Anna and Rainer made us feel like part of their family. They live in a beautiful part of Ireland. They attended to our every need. We would definitely come back for several days if we return to Ireland.
nice place and very nice people; I certainly would stay again at this b&b and I certainly would recommend it to my friends
Very friendly welcome from Anne, the cats and even Baloo once you realise he's just a big softy, more food for breakfast than we could eat. Fantastic position overlooking the shore
Anne and Rainer are delightful and could not do enough to make our stay pleasant. The self-catering appartment is a bit limited in kitchen equipment but we were invited to use anything from the main kitchen, including the kitchen itself. Breakfasts were generous and eaten overlooking the sea. All in all, highly recommended.
