The bathroom could do with a refurb.
Quick service Friendly staff Coffee to go Perfect Location
Room a tad bit cramped but I was not there to rest, I was there to get out and see the town! Weekends especially are noisy but well worth the location, I was not there to sleep in anyway.
Excellent location, room, view, staff etc. partner refuses to be booked in anywhere else on our return, very happy indeed!!
Stayed At the Eliza 5 times out of the last 7 years . The other two years was because we booked to late , Great hotel, Great people , All in all fantastic City
The hotel was friendly accomadating,. Warm.. Clean,.. The breakfast was the best I've ever tasted in a hotel!!!! Down side it took us a while to find it... And there is no parking.. X
Cleanliness of room, friendliness of staff, location of guest house
No complaints at all
Location and hospitality was ideal (especially Karen). The room was great, very spacious! And of course who could beat the view.
There was a minor issue with the heat, television and water spouts but All in all nothing terrible.
Fantastic freshly cooked breakfast, choice of pancakes, eggs of any shape, Irish breakfast. Very friendly and helpful personal. Very centrally located in the Temple Bar District. Early check-in (1pm) was available at no extra cost. WLan was included. Room included coffee/tea making facilities, large cupboard, comfy bed and small TV.
If you arrive by car, ask about the cheap (15 €/day) car park beforehand, otherwise be prepared to triple the price. Given the good rating, I had expected more from the room: it was tiny, with barely space to put our luggage, and very noisy next to a main street. The bathroom was very plain, no place to put our towels.
Location. It was very conveinent. Satff were freindly. Good Breakfast choices
Lack of fridge in room. TV too small. Safe was broken
Very well-located (next to Temple Bar but very quiet) Lovely view to the river Friendly service Clean rooms with a lot of space (huge beds) Nicely-furnished
I loved how close it was tgo the shopping area and luas stop to get back to the park and ride stop. Staff so friendly room basic but clean really perfect budget accomodation.
Location!! Value and comfort !
location excellent, view over Liffey spectacular room for 3 people very spacious facilities very good
Location. Friendly lady on check in was also working in restaurant too - fair play! View of River Liffey and the Quays from my bedside.
Hated the shower & bathroom - this is really important to me as I like a shower that has a hose and not a fixed head.
The bar next door!
Perfect location to experience Dublin - can walk everywhere
Breakfast Location View over the river Restaurant of the Hotel (almost always full) Friendly staff Good Wifi It's the same story like in various other hotels. A good restaurant who makes a lot of money and they buy/own the buidling. They maximize the value of the building by making a hotel out of it, but try to run it with the knowhow and staff of the restaurant....
The rooms are not very clean The rooms are very small. Pictures on various websites are misguiding The sheets were worn and sometimes got holes in them The bathroom is very basic and belongs rather in a youth hostel Acces cards to the rooms have issues, sometimes they work and sometimes they don't.
We liked having a balcony. Good views of the city. There is an Italian style cafe/restuarant downstairs, but we only had full Irish breakfast there. Your also just around the corner from Temple Bar.
Your paying for the views and location. The 'Luxury' description is misleading. It's a good basic budget style hotel, no frills, no room service, small cramped rooms, no style; not even budget-luxe decor. Just as well as it would cost even more if it really was luxury. I don't mean to diss the hotel, it is acceptable....but the use of the word luxury is not.
Absolutely superb location and very clean. Nice view of the river.
Spoken to very rudely by one member of staff when we arrived home for dinner in the pouring rain. We had to stand outside for 15 minutes banging on the windows because we had not been informed of the code which was to be used for gaining entry (this was around 11pm). The response was that we should have known the code. No apology at alll. The rooms are very basic.
Very friendly staff. Great location. Good view from the room.
Noice from the street but that's what you can expect with this location. The bathroom could have a table and some storage place.
location clean good rooms accommodating staff
street noise parking for additional fee
Riverview, nice staff
Even when windows closed you hear the traffic noise and the noise of the visitors of Temple Bar street (just round the corner). Very small rooms. Regarding to the comfort overpriced.
I really liked the smiling & friendly staff, quality of food, location of the lodge, good WIFI and cleanliness. Definitely I will stay there again in my next visit.
The lodge is in Temple Bar, Dublin's most crowded place so for sure sometimes it will be little bit noisy.
Views from the corner rooms across the roof tops and river
The room and bathroom was a little dated and tatty for the price of the room. Also the bear minimum effort was put into tea/coffee, a small thing I know but a reasonable cuppa in the morning is worth a lot in terms of comfort.
