This hotel has most helpful and friendly staff, it is clean and tidy. The bar meals should suit every taste and are a good size, and are well priced. I think it would make an ideal site seeing base. We were only there on a short trip but we have no complaints. Will be using again.

It's a nice old fashioned hotel. The location is in a nice square in the centre of the town. Staff are friendly and, like most country hotels, can be on reception one minute and serving you food in the bar the next. Parking is on the square itself and is free. The price for a single person, including breakfast, was €48 per night which is fine. Overall, a pleasant experience. It's not a modern boutique hotel but, in my book, that's what adds to its charms.

The welcoming atmosphere; the incredibly nice staff; the warm and cosy bar; the delicious food; the beautiful room and to top it all off, the most amazing bed we have ever slept in!! And of course, the brilliant location within walking distance of everything we needed All in all, a thoroughly fantastic stay.

Brilliant....great staff, in fact last time I stayed I left something in my room. I was working about 7 miles away and when I rang they said, no bother, we will drop it off for you. This was a life-saver as I was on a tight schedule to get to the fery after work. The nightclub may put some people off but I cannot recommend the Emmet(and Clonakilty generally) highly enough.

Friendly staff and ease of access to room, bar food etc. room was spacious and had brilliant ventilation. Will return soon. Cooked breafast on 1st morning was microwaved. Scrambled egg on 2nd morning was 'greasy' and quantity too much. On 3rd morning avoided cooked breakfast. Fruit and cereal selection was v good. No water available unless requested.

The location is excellent, just a stone's throw from the main shopping street and opposite a pretty square. While the staff were pleasant, despite being busy, they did not provide an efficient service. Just how long is too long to wait at Reception when you want to book in? How long is too long to wait to get back your room key (which is too big and heavy to walk around with) when you have popped out to the shop for 15 minutes? How long is too long to wait for the staff to bring you the hairdryer you've requested (and didn't arrive until I went down to reception for it). In the morning there was, once again, only one woman on duty to check guests out. She seemed also to be responsible for serving breakfast. With half an hour spare, I didn't feel it would be sufficient time for breakfast! If there were more staff working in this hotel, I didn't see them. The one person I saw had a good manner and tried to be efficient but she couldn't be in more than one place at a time.

It was like, centrally located right. So like we dinna have to walk too far to get places. The keys weigh like 50 kgs or something. It's like OMG - where am I supposed to put this thing when I go out. Also, like, when a hotel allows a disco in their building, guests should totally get in free - know what I mean? Just sayin' yo.
