value for money was great. comfort and staff
there's an option to include near by spa and leisure center to your room, could make this more known as we didn't realize until we were leaving...
Apart from the staff very little else.
Dark inside hotel, food was plain, smell of smoke in the corridors. There had been a wedding on and it spilled over into the corridors and rooms afterwards banging doors, shouting and this went on till 5:30am.
Cleanliness of the hotel is suberb good friendly staff
Adjoining health spa dont allow children under 16
Very good value for money
Didn't really have a good lunch except if you were having a carvery meal.
Location. Room size. Value for money.
The Staff. Arrived back after a night out in Dundalk. Was told by the man at the door that we wouldn't be allowed bring in food we had just ordered. Yet 5 mintues later he let a group of lads in with beers and pizzas. Power trip of a small man
We were at the wedding and in the bar the beer on draft was horrible the rooms were not very clean wax not impressed at all
The area only 1 hour from Belfast
Bathroom was grubby and shabby, shower was freezing, bedclothes were ripped and marked, decor was rundown with patched walls and stains on ceilings. Dining room was basic and not appealing.
room was large
The price was very good for a triple room. The girl serving breakfast was very friendly.
The hotel itself was a bit dirty. They need to brighten it up a bit and they definitely need new carpet throughout the hotel.
Very friendly staff ,Great food Excellent value for money great comfort in the beds had great sleep
Windows at the back of the lounge were very dirty ,exterior front door in restaurant looked like it was cleaned with a mop ,couldn't accommodate with rooms beside each other kids were two doors down had to keep the two smaller kids with us in the room ,even though when booking it asks the age of the kids and who's staying and how many rooms was needed ,
smell of tobacco in lift
I liked the friendly cheerful staff and also bed was very comfy
Bathroom was grubby tiling and needed updating badly also slept late and called for room service at 10;40 and asked was a late check out available I was told breakfast was over and I should have ordered the previous night ? We had to vacate the room Also as full house for Friday evening , an hour would have been sufficient but alas NO!. Also No room service for food was available but lunch food would be served at 12 in the bar an hour and twenty minutes away , as We were travelling on to Dublin all We wanted was tea and toast and we had used up 4 tiny milk cartons the previous night so alas we had to go to the local garage on our journey. Disappointing to say the least inadequate policy on food service you would think this hotel would be willing to help out for such minor requests considering the boast about their conference centre and it's close proximity to m1 etc . Perhaps the closer hotel to the m1 the crowne plaza has morning room service after all I did not class fairways hotel and conference centre as a budget hotel like premier inn, or is it ?
The hallways and lifts smelled really bad and the lift floor was filthy
The restaurant staff were really nice the buffet breakfast was poor
hotel is old and run down-smell of damp in hallways-staff friendly and helpful but overall building is not up to standard. Could hear baby crying next bedroom and plumbing very noisy.
Staff were very pleasant and friendly particularly the kitchen staff, and fortunately for us our room was in the new extension of the hotel.
The staff however are let down by the run down surroundings they work in, it lacked atmosphere and we had to go out in order to find a bit of life elsewhere.
Wedding party was amazing Staff were approachable friendly and worked hard to make sure are stay was excellent. The rooms were always clean and tidy. Bar and restaurant prices were reasonable. And above all the wedding party was amazing. Thank you all at the Fairways.
WiFi was not to good couldn't always connect
The hotel was lovely. The staff were friendly. The bedroom was large with plenty of room. Entertainment in the bar was very good.
The heating was on full blast and it was too hot in the room. Even though it was turned down when requested, we had to leave the windows open all night to cool down. A lot of traffic noise so I didn't sleep well. Couldn't get wi fi in the room.
When I left my phone charger behind the staff really made an effort to find it and return it to me.
Wi-fi was not working for the entire day I was there, didn't return till 11pm. I did raise it with the staff on reception who made little enuf effort to find out the problem and never ONCE came back to me to update me. An entire day of business wasted. Breakfast facilities/menu was poor Decor was tired and faded. In fact the entire hotel was tired and faded and contrasted badly with the newer more modern hotel in the area. The Fairways desperately needs some money and energy put into it.
Room was spacious and nice. I checked in late and the staff was fantastic and helpful. Breakfast was lovely, included a lot.
The hotel boasted (online and in paper in the room) "we serve food 24/7" but when I called inquiring at approx 1.30am apparently there was no food of any kind available, which was disappointing (and I was hungry!)
The Internet wouldn't work
Good clean efficient hotel spacious rooms good rates.Pleasant atmosphere.
Buffet breakfast was probably not the best I've ever had. Location maybe a bit too far out of town but good taxi service available.
very comfortable room
Elevator , grubby floor, needed cleaning
