Friendly, non-intrusive staff; comfortable rooms; pool, sauna, etc at no extra charge, beautiful location overlooking golf course and gardens with lots of mature trees. Attractive special rate. temperature of public areas, especially reading room and lounge was a little cold despite fires. |

restaurant was excellent & restaurant staff very professional nobody on leisure centre reception when I went down. I found out that it was because a kids swimming class was in operation till 5pm. I went back down at 5.20 to be told the kids swimming class was continuing till 6. however I was able to swim in the lower section of the pool. I opted to take a massage / treatment in stead but this wasnt an option since I hadnt booked it . |

Tranquility Rooms allocated to us were "smoking" rooms which stank of stale smoke. We are non-smoker and found it offensive. |

We had booked for a first night after arriving in from Rosslare that evening. It was a relatively easy drive in from there. The hotel looks really imposing on the drive down through the golf course, and is pretty good when you actually arrive. We somehow were given a suite which was a real pleasure. Breakfast was excellent, and the staff were friendly and attentive. A good way to start a holiday! We were seated adjacent to the breakfast buffet area, and were inevitably jostled a little be our fellow guests as they chose their breakfasts - not really a big problem but perhaps it would be useful to review the layout in this area - It would also be helpful for staff access to the kitchens, as ther was a reasonable amount of congestion on the morning of our visit. |

The massage was lovely, performed by Carol. The hotel was very relaxed. The decor was old fashioned, and many areas could do with being refurbished. This could easily be performed in keeping with the old look and feel of the hotel. The hallways all required hoovering with dust to be found in multiple corners. The reception toilets need hand towels provided and refubishment, a four star hotel should have more than two old electric dryers available for drying your hands. Again, I felt the breakfast should have been served to each table from a menu selection, as the hotel has a four star rating. The floor boards in the reception room to the right of the front desk need reinforcement, the entire room shook each time a waiter/waitress passed by our table inside the door. |

It was an overnight stay to attend a wedding in the hotel. The service during the wedding reception was excellent, given that 150 people had to be catered to - at the same time. The only thing I did not like about the hotel was the bedroom. It was on the ground floor, with restricted natural light. It was perfectly clean but the decor was very dull - navy blue and white with dull lampshades. There was a very un-cosy feel to it and I'm glad that I was only staying one night. |

It was a very relaxed atmosphere with friendly and helpful staff. The grounds were fabulous and the spa facilities were superb. The swimming pool was very small and the decor was slightly dated. |

Room was excellent value. Nice location and friendly staff The price of the room was very competitive however dinner in the restaurant was overpriced for what we got. The food was nice, but not spectacular and at 51 euro each was expensive, given the standard. The menu is not very inspiiring and is country hotel food ,so should be priced accordingly. The hotel itself strikes me as having been very nice once, but is a little shabby now. |

first class staff and relaxation On the Sunday evening my husband decided to have a bath and when he turned on the hot water the tap flew and the very hot water shot up to the ceiling and around the bathroom. It burned my husband chest and fingers. I contacted reception and an very nice young man fixed it and later I had to get cream from him for burns. After our meal that night we were offered a drink on the house.. |

The staff was very good. Swimming pool. The location: very close to Waterford, though in the countryside. Rooms not too modern, although not very important really. |
