The House was lovely, and the grounds beautiful. The rooms were awful, the first room we were shown to was below the ground floor (the garden level they named it) We had booked a twin room and this was a very very small double bedroom but the worse thing was it was so damp and smelled like nobody had stayed there for years, we asked to change and we were politely given a very small twin room on the ground floor which had an very strong smell of urine , we were politely told we could upgrade for an extra charge , we had orginally planned on staying another few nights but I couldn't wait to leave .

The grounds were beautiful and the interior of the house was nice but did need a bit of updating. The barman was rude and the staff seemed indifferent. The television in the bedroom could do with an upgrade.

We had our daughters wedding reception there in 2002, the meal at that time was not to our satisfaction in quantity for a wedding reception. We stayed there on a previous wedding and found that the dinner servings had improved substantually as can be said for last Saturday, Service and comfort were always at hand in Faithlegg House Hotel. We will be there again. Edward Griffin.

Location for touring area, peaceful location First night we ate in dining room there was obviously a tour in side room and service was very slow, main course was cold and no staff came to table to ask if meal was ok so we persevered with meal and complained when waitress eventually came to clear plates, restaurant manager did come to us and apologised and said he would pass on comments to chef. When we came to leave Hotel after 3 days we asked to talk to hotel manager who we felt was very off hand and only that we kept pushing were we reluctantly offered a 20% discount off meal, would have expected better service from 4 star hotel, we didn't eat in dining room for the other nights!

Lovely comfortable lounge - great for relaxing and a nice place to enjoy bar food. Rooms where we stayed (112 & 106) were v dark which made the atmosphere v gloomy as it was quite dark outside.

We paid for an upgrade to stay in the house because there was a wedding taking place. It was well worth it. A lovely room and bathroom. The dining room was very pleasant for breakfast. We didn't want a full meal so ate in the bar. The food was very good but I didn't like the bar area

It was an outstanding facility-the staff was efficient and accommodating-the perfect getaway to relax and refresh. We don't golf but loved the grounds for walking. The food and service were grand.

We had stayed before and were pleased. On this visit we stayed for only one night b & B. We were given a beautiful room at front of Hotel overlooking the First Tee and the distant hills. We will come again. We were disappointed with the breakfast. Staff could have been more attentive. Very slow to clear away used dishes etc.Slow to replace food in heated containers.

Very beautiful building and grounds. Wonderfully quiet - although if we had had 'the room at the back', the swimming pool plant might well have been intrusive. Reception were warm and welcoming and helpful. The golf course is superb, and there are lovely walks in the grounds, which are beautifully maintained. Wonderful for little people we suspect! Area is very delightful, wooded and wonderful estuary views around - Waterford is easily accessible. The breakfast is badly organised - chaotic. This is unnecessary, and there are simple solutions. But,the staff in the dining room were most helpful. Pity the bacon, black pud etc were hard, dry and 'scoudered'. The bar staff were a different matter - a guest asked for a drinks menu, and was told sharply by the waitress that there were lists stuck on the wall if they wanted that kind of information! Our own efforts to obtain an Irish coffee resulted in a long wait. 'I have no cream - it will be five minutes' Fifteen minutes later ' Oh I forgot you'. Five minutes later he went for the cream, and 30 minutes after first ordering we got our Irish Coffee. - it was worth waiting for! Also the lassie in the Golf bar was clearly having a bad hair day when we visited! We did not allow these lapses to destroy a lovely break at Faithlegg - it is a super place and we will be back.

Very quiet and peaceful! A bottle of water is always good to have in the room and there was none. Also there was no drinks or beverages. By 10 am the pastries were gone in the breakfast. Could have more variety on breakfast. The TV remote control wasn't working
