The bar food was delicious, and the bar staff were all pleasant, helpful and friendly. Our room was very comfortable and very clean, the shower was excellent and bathroom really clean. We had a meal in the restaurant also, the meal itself was superb, there was a young irish waitress who was pleasant, attentive, friendly, and who handled a very unpleasant situation very well,, she is a credit to the establishment.
The seating area to relax and read could be more comfortable, the decor ie carpets curtains need updating.I felt the photos on the Web page done the hotel justice. The leisure area , steam room, sauna, esp changing rooms were very untidy, unclean, cold and disappointing. The decor and ambience of the restaurant was disgraceful, we were seated in the walkway to the kitchen, a main bright light was on, tables seemed to be just scattered everywhere,,, one waitress was extremely rude, had no manner, slammed food down on our table, kicked open the door into the kitchen when returning with plates from which she proceeded to slam the lid to the waste bin inside the kitchen which could be heard all over the restaurant. The manager, who was present all this time, just stood at the till checking receipts, he made no attempt to erase this situation, in fact we felt he totally turned a blind eye and deaf ear! After our meal we sat with the manager and spoke of our disappointment, which was a pity as the food was excellent, the waitress in question had previously been complained, this to me was totally disgraceful. We were offered a free drink at the bar which we declined. Our meal was included in the package, we paid for our own wine separately. On checking out I personally was taken aback when the lady on reception was totally unaware of our situation the previous night.I would not be recommending this hotel, it needs to be refurbished, and an overview of all restaurant staff badly needed.,
The staff are excellent. very friendly and helpful in every way. Great choice in Breakfast. Lovely quite residence lounge where you can relax and read your paper or book.
We went 2nd Jan 2015 for 2 nights, hotel very busy with weddings, weddings on both days we were there. On our second night, the wedding crowd very noisy, running around shouting & looking for their rooms, hotel should attempt to keep all wedding guests in one location to avoid disturbance to other guests.
the deal dinner wasnt so hot. waiter was fabulous.....in fact all service was very good - staff excellent.
entertainment in bar in evenings.
Loved the atmosphere and beautiful grounds.
The fact that we were charged 90€ extra for our stay!
Food in the restraunt was amazing. Would definitely recommend. Room was cold on first night but an extra heater was provided immediately when requested. Spa was lovely too.
everything, relaxing chill out areas
Good bar food professionally served by friendly staff-nice location and beautiful house. Well maintained (small) and clean room with comfortable bed. Nice buffet breakfast
Small poky room. Air conditioning hum a little annoying. Poor cooked (buffet) breakfast-everything dried out and tired. Time to revert back to cooked to order breakfast?
Beautiful building and surroundings. We loved the food and the staff was very kind
Very friendly and efficient staff. Comfortable room, nice garden view. Great breakfast, served until late which was very much welcome. Good food.
Very loud noise from function room went on until 2.00 am at least. Impossible to sleep in room we were allocated until then. One night we were attending the function in question, although we retired at midnight. The other night we were not connected at all with the function being held. We would definitely make sure that room is in a quiet area of the hotel if we decide to visit again. On night of arrival, it was almost impossible to get to reception counter as there was a reception for 400 people held in the reception area. Too small for that number; noise was extreme.
We really loved this property, absolutely wonderful.
Not unhappy about any part of our stay!
The breakfast was very good
The room needed to be updated, shower is in the bath. The dressing room is the leisure centre also needs to be updated.
Leisure facilities Golf Service Cleanliness
No room service after 10pm but this really didn't matter
Nice location, property full of character. Staff very helpful
I opted to be billed in my home currency, not local. Wasn't too impressed with the exchange rate they used once I got my credit card bill
Breakfast & dinner were of a very high standard, very impressive.
Attended a wedding and must say everything was excellent especially as my wife insists on hot plates for main meal. We stayed an extra night, dinner included, had the afternoon in Waterford glass showroom, a drink in Jacks (down the road ) and back for dinner at the hotel, already planning a group return to stay including golf for the lads. Highly recommended Ger
Hi forgot to say I thought the drink prices were far too high but will still return
Stayed in one of the 'Master Rooms' which was exceptional. Four poster bed, fireplace, his and her sinks, bath robes, large flat screen tv and tea and coffee making facilities were just a few of the features of the room. Overall very pleased.
Service at breakfast was poor. Four tables including our own had breakfast finished before tea was brought.
I liked where the hotel was located. The breakfast menu choice was good. Staff in the bar were very pleasant.
Staff at breakfast were poor. I had to ask for tea/coffee on two mornings. Also no butter on table twice. Lax attitude all round from reception to dining room staff. Despite at booking requesting a disability room we were put in room 149 which was a long way from reception. One disability hand rail at bath area!!!!!! Bathroom was outdated and smelly with a rusty radiator. Dirty skirting boards in our room and dull decor.
Fantastic house on stunning grounds great location good breakfast buffet and friendly staff.
Great size room but wasn't checked before been released dead flies on all the window ledges a quick hoover would have sorted it if it had been checked. The standard of the evening meal was very very poor.
Bar prices way over the top
It a great place to stay. Really friendly staff and the best breakfast you will ever have.
Spacious rooms Wide comfortable beds lounge wide choice available at breakfast golf facilities Friendly staff willing to help
Not enough instant coffee in rooms Difficult to find from some directions
Faithlegg House is a well maintained "older" property that puts you in mind of a castle or superior country-home. The lounge and dining areas are warm and inviting. Our meals were excellent as well as the service. Our garden bedroom was furnished well and exceptionally quiet, providing a lovely night's sleep.
We did find it difficult to find, even with some rather detailed directions. However, being out of the way from Waterford allows for a large, quiet setting and a wonderful golf course.
food was good. child friendly and friendly staff
slight noise from other rooms. we were in 157
