the peace and quiet

only problem was wi fi was advertised in all rooms and i could not get a signal at all in our room - that was one of the reasons i booked there so i could sit in my room to work on the internet.

The hotel was nice, exactly as described. The view over the golf course was lovely. The English lady that worked on reception was very helpfull. I would stay here again if I was coming to the area

The pool was closed, my daughter was very disappointed as this was the reason we booked this hotel

Booking via booking.com made it very easy so that people with a low budget can stay there as well.

The staff were so helpful and friendly. The food was excellent and the setting was very scenic. Overall we enjoyed our stay at Fernhill Golf and Country Club and will definitely visit again.

The location, environment

Very disappointed in this hotel as we mainly chose it for the swimming pool and tennis court. Upon arrival, they told us that the swimming pool was closed for the year. Should have said it on the website! Then the rackets were gone when we wanted to play tennis and never found those! The staff didn't seem very concerned about any of these problems, even left the hotel one night, and didn't answer the phone when we tried to call them. We could also hear kids running in the corridor, bad sound isolation.

The atmosphere is very relaxing and friendly, ideal for a quiet weekend break, I forgot a recharger and when I rang they very kindly put it in an envelope and returned it prompty to me which I really apreciated.

I would have preferred to have the option to eat in the hotel dining area rather than the clubhouse.

The breakfast was pre cooked / reheated and tasted rubbery. The cost and choice of the breakfast was too much given with the quality of it The only place to eat an evening meal was in the club house located approx 200-300 metres away from hotel. There is no external road lighting making it very dangerous to travel to and from it at night. The hotel is winding down for the winter close making staff scarce. I could not find anybody at checkout. Only staff available was breakfast staff who would not help until I insisted. No Room Service available, only vending machines in residents lounge Overall the service was not what it claims on its website.

Felt that it was good we could use the bar in the Club House. The beds in the hotel were unfomfortably small. The staff were friendly.

Meals apart from breakfast required a 250 yard walk to the golf clubhouse, which in wet weather is not a good option. Hotel restuarant wasn't open apart from breakfast

the handle of my window was broken when i arrived thursday still broken when i left sunday Lighting in the room very poor unable to read paper in the evening the fire exit sign on 2nd flooor points into room 247 instead of back stairs the carpets were badly stained

The leisure centre incorporated into the overall price made it good value for money. The room was larger than the room found in most hotels. The location was lovely and quiet

Fernhill is a good hotel on a golf course. It has a club house with a bar and restaurant on the grounds. There is a pool, sauna and steam room available for the guests. the room was very big, with a nice bathroom and tv. The staff were very friendly.

The hotel is nice but it seems it lacks money for basic maintanence. The outside could so with some paint. The changing rooms for the pool are a bit dirty. Its a good hotel if you get a good price for your room

It was budget-friendly, nice and relaxed. Staff very nice, food excellant, drink reasonably priced. Entertainment good. Hope to return
