Nothing. It's a really fab place.
The room and comfort was excellent and staff where so good to us .there was no noise at all even tho there was a a wedding on best hotel I've ever been in , defently will go back again .
The shower was great but kept losing power after about ten minutes then the pressure was good again still had a good shower, other than that all was great .
Gorgeous place friendly and welcoming! Staff food and hotel itself were amazing
When we came down for breakfast both mornings we were left waiting for a few mins. I don't mind waiting but the staff didn't even acknowledge us for a full five mins the first morning
Staff were very pleasant
Cold water tap fitted the wrong way, prepare for getting wet. Restaurant purports to be a top one, hugely disappointing , furniture poor and food average
The friendly staff
Donal the manager very professional and made our stay
No heating in rooms, rooms very dated,
Lovely hotel, very friendly staff, great bar food and breakfast. Fab pool. Will definitely return.
staff are very friendly and helpful. They seem well-trained, and morale is good, making the hotel warm and welcoming. Adult-only bar area is a big plus for any couple staying without kids. great to relax with food or a drink with no kids running around. Lovely views from room, bar, breakfast area.
Car parking can be a bit awkward. it would be hard to fix this, a consequence of what is a really beautiful location beside the estuary.
Good value for a double room.
No WFI in rooms. Breakfast was expensive.
The location of the hotel is excellant. The food in the restaurant and breakfast room was really good. Despite the hotel being very busy with a Wedding, the staff were all very courteous, friendly and more than helpful. I would definitely like to return to the hotel again and would highly recommend it.
The noisy Cork man who woken me up talking loudly in the corridor at about 2 o'clock in the morning!!
Great hotel, had a wonderful time
We loved the location as the view was amazing.the staff were all so friendly and our room attendant made sure you had all you need.good entertainment in bar on both nights of our stay.great breakfast.
Could improve the menu in the bar in the evening.
Hot water stopped working halfway through a shower, not good. Was going to a wedding and had to wash in cold water.
I mentioned that a person in our group was celebrating a special birthday. The person checking us in upgraded her to a special room and then sent strawberries and chocolate up to her room. Above and beyond!
Staff were efficient. The food was outstanding. Rooms were comfortable and clean. Views amazing. Won't stay anywhere else now.
A wedding each day we were there, which is fine. However, really needs to be a separate bar for hotel guests. As it is a fight for service and felt underdressed in casual clothes. Greasy sticky bar floors. Hard to park.
Everyroom had a lake view Big double bed Staff were informative and very friendly Food was fresh and delicious
To warm to sleep a problem with thermostat
Restaurant food was excellent
Convenient location whilst travelling, good range of amenities, nice setting and views and convenience to the Heritage centre and the port
Because of location you are more or less obliged to eat in the facility as otherwise you have to drive , which with a Group of adults and children ( 9 persons )is difficult. The problem here is that the food presentation was dreadful at lunch , apart from the potatoe skins which were ahit ,the rest of the food offering was very poor where the fish was either over cooked or possibly not fresh , or alternatively burnt ..the burnt one was not charged for on appeal and the vegetables looked terrible with the carrots having there dirty end still in tact as if cooked from the field and semi raw ! The childrens menu suggested more imagination than usual in similar hotels but did not deliver ,with bland straight from the fridge packet fare. My own dish had a lump of haddock ( the day special ) periously sitting on top of a potatoe mountain ( why has this become a sort of norm for presenting certain fish .in this way .it looks stupid and adds nothing to the expectation of good food.. The evening meal menu read beautiful even mouth watering , but again did not deliver .This time the duck sat on top of the mountain and the carrots from the field arrived again, but this time over cooked , accompanied this time by broccoli or cauliflower not sure which as it was still frozen .No we did not complain again ..just cut short the meal. The staff in general were excellent and friendly ..its a pity the facility in general is so badly let down by the kitchen..who seem totally unable to deliver edible ,wholesome food that any home kitchen would deliver on a daily basis.! .. or match the breakfast , obviously a different chef in charge ,as same was excellent .
Leisure centre is excellent and for adults worth waiting until after 6.30 when there are no children in the pool. Bar food really good and good value too. Seafood chowder - the best ever! Staff excellent throughout. Special thanks to Orla (Orna?) in reception who moved us to a new room immediately due to noise from generator near previous room keeping us awake.
Adults/older children - Don't swim from 5.30-6.30. Pool very full of small children and babies. Generator is loud at the far end of the hotel. Hard to sleep with it. Given the number of events in hotel all the time (christenings, weddings) the bar can get very busy especially in terms of waiting for food to be served
Lovely big bed and great view from our room and from the Dining Room
Location was fantastic, breakfast was excellent. We had evening meal on one night in hotel's restaurant very impressed by quality of food and service .Will definitely be back.
The staff, food, room comfort, bedroom, cleanliness were all excellent. A good location for local scenery but two taxi rides if you wanted to hit the town of Wexford for a night out.
The areas for improvement were just two imho... *WIFI in the room (5th floor) was very bad. Good room WIFI should be a given for all rated hotels nowadays. *Only one lift to serve 5 floors meant long delays.
All the staff were so friendly. We were there during opera week but weren't attending opera. Next year we will. Great buzz around the place. Pool and facilities beautiful.
The taps in the bathroom seemed to be airlocked and water could drown you when it does suddenly flow. Thats all.
