An excellent hotel unfortunately we did not have long enough time to enjoy the facilities. |

Very nice decor and atmosphere, beautiful grounds, large TV in room, clean and top notch bathroom. Lack of good signage makes the property hard to find, asked for an iron and 30 minutes later had to go down to reception to ask again (woman had been on break and said she knew nothing), larger selection at breakfast would be nice. |

Friendly staff and comfortable rooms. For the prices charged the food was very average. The rooms lacked character - nice for a business stay but I wouldn't chose it for a leisure break. |

The hotel is an old converted manor house. It is very attractive with a friendly and accommodating staff. I would especially compliment Freda in the dining room. The drawing room was large and elegant and offered a pleasant place to relax after a day of touring. Most rooms had a fireplace (gas) that were burning all day and into the evening. The last evening we were there, there was a wedding. The guests were loud and not very thoughtful as they ran up and down the hall and talked very loudly until 4AM. |

Spotless, well appointed, good food, very, very friendly staff and friendly to each other - unstressed and getting rarer in recessionary times |

the room was spacious and luxurious, albeit slightly expensive. Hotel was slightly dated but the modern rooms were to a high standard |

Bed was comfortable, very powerful shower. Food fine. Staff very friendly and helpful It was very hard to find. But the receptionist stayed on the phone to talk me through how to get there. The bar menu was limited enough especially where sandwiches were concerned. Could not use the internet in the room it was not working |

The staff were friendly, engaged with the customer in a professional manner that is sorely missing from hotels today. I would recommend this hotel and will definitely return. |

The staff were very welcomming and kind. The food was excellent. The suite we stayed in (golf suite) needs some updating, although it was acceptable. The rooms in the hotel seemed nicer. |

We felt the hotel had a very friendly and homely atmosphere. We attended a wedding there and thought the food was excellent. The staff were also very friendly which always makes such a difference to any hotel stay. |

The room was lovely - had a marble bathroom in it. Good facilities (pool, gym etc). The grounds are gorgeous and the country house was lovely. The carpet in our room was stained, however the room was quite clean. The hotel atmosphere seemed to be designed for older guests. |

The staff was absolutely great and was the most helpful of any I've ever come across. The deal we got on the hotel should be illegal. The setting is great for getting away from the noise of the city! I just can't say enough! |

Quiet location yet convenieent to the City. The period buildings. Guest room decor. Guestroom facilities. There was nothing I didn't like. The parking out front for set down and short term should not be used by staff. Consider the use of a Courtesy Car, useful for guests travelling to/from City or local villages and an excellent means of advertising. I didn't know about the hotel until I found it on the booking website. |
