During the long hot summer days, enjoy a cool pint in the garden where seating is also available should you wish to dine outdoors.
Adare Castle (3 km) - The remains of this Anglo-Norman fortress may be counted among the most impressive castles in Ireland. The castle was built in the 1190s and was initially comprised of a large square tower and an enclosing D-shaped fosse.
Adare Heritage Centre (3 km) - This centre tells the story of the development of Adare from the 13th century. Colourful murals depict life in the town and monasteries, while a detailed model and audio visual presentation recalls some of the drama of life in the 15th and 16th centuries.

An excellent choice for weddings and in a good country location for shaking off the sore head. The best breakfast I have ever had, with quality rashes and sausages,seconds and third portions are not uncommon. |

the hotel was very nice and the staff very friendly, we attended a family wedding and the wedding meal was superb and the service and the bar staff very accomodating , the rooms very comfortable,,overall i would highly recomend the woodlands hotel and i would definately stay here again there was no lifts and a lot of travelling through corridors to get to your room and no bottled waters in the room |

Very friendly dining room staff and good buffet breakfast. Nice comfortable bed in a quiet room and great rates! The room could have been a bit cleaner, but the bed was spotless and very comfortable. |

We stayed at the hotel to attend a wedding so did not have time to try out all the facilities. Generally it is a pleasant hotel with helpful staff and good food. The room rate (€105 per night for 2 ppl B&B was very good value for money). Surprised how far it is from Adare village....not easy to get to by walking. There is no lift (elevator) in the hotel and there is a very long walk in a narrow corridor with fire doors to get to some of the rooms. It could be a problem for people with impaired mobility. Specify a room on ground floor close to reception. |

Petit déjeuner typique sympa, belle chambre, personnel gentil et disponible malgré que personne ne parle français.Piscine, jacuzzi, hammam, sauna, le tout gratuit, soins du corps balnéo en sus. La situation de l'hôtel est un peu trop excentré par rapport au village d'Adare. A peu près 2km jusqu'au centre, la route est très dangereuse pour espérer se rendre au centre du village à pied, beaucoup de circulation, le taxi est indispensable (8€). |

Die Matrazen und Betten sorgten für hohen Schlafkomfort. Das Zimmer war großzügig und auch das Bad geräumig. Die Lage des Hotels abseits vom Touristenrummel ist ideal zur Entspannung. Badezimmereinrichtung ist etwas retro. |

Das Personal war freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Zimmer war für den Preis ok, könnte aber mal renoviert werden! Mit dem Frühstück waren wir sehr zufrieden. Die Preise für das Abendessen waren zu teuer, es wurde kein Mittagstisch angeboten. |

Het eten in de jimmy's bar was er heel goed van smaak De bedden waren niet comfortabel. Ook was er geen warm water om te douchen dit was nl. lauw tegen het koude aan. De badkamer zag er was smerig uit zonder mooi gevoegde tegels. |
