The room was spacious, the shower excellent and the bed was very comfortable. The facilities were extensive, that is, the huge bar/pub, a very impressive formal dining room (although we did not eat there) and a family type restaurant where we had a wonderful breakfast from an extensive buffet that had anything you would want to eat. Although the hotel is a short drive from Adare that was not an inconvenience. The drive to the Shannon Airport is direct, quick and easy. The hotel was excellent value and would we would not hesitate to stay again or recommend it to our friends. The room we were assigned (403) had a step up to the tv and sitting area which we found dangerous. In fact, I tripped 3 times on the step as it was right beside the bed. I realize that this is most probably a design fault but it is quite dangerous.

Even though we didn't pay a lot we had lovely bedrooms, each with a double bed & a single bed, all with mattress toppers, really luxurious. The staff are very friendly. There is a very relaxed atmosphere at the hotel. The food is excellent, in Timmy Mac's Restaurant all freshly cooked, breakfast best ever. They didn't get our room rate correct I paid the full amount but found my emails & went back & it was all sorted out & they refunded the difference. The swimming pool is terrific. We all want to go back asap!

The Hotel is perfectly placed outside the picture postcard village of Adare and very close to Limerick City. It would also be a good base from which to explore the delights of County Limerick, North Kerry ,South Clare and the lower Shannon area. For us there was the unexpected bonus of a friendly park and ride bus service linking to Thomond Park Rugby Ground, from the Hotel carpark, on the evening of the match which we had come to see. We found the Hotel welcoming, restful and very comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed our brief stay and hope to be back - hopefully on a more successful rugby occasion!

From very start at reception , we knew we had chosen right hotel. We were able to share a few light hearted moments with staff during check- in . Staff have a happy disposition when doing their work , and strangely enough, the quiet presence ( not in your face,) of a few (2or 3) religious pictures within hotel felt comforting .

One night stay before flying from Shannon to uk. Friendly staff. Good food. Very comfortable. When booking The website led me to believe that the hotel was near Shannon Town and the airport when in fact it was a 30/40 minute drive away. However the hotel was very comfortable and in lovely grounds.

The Pool Area was the hot ticket. The room was date and worn, the bathroom sink was cracked and missing a few parts. I know saving energy is a big deal but sometimes the halls were so poorly lite I was afraid of tripping and falling and the ramps that were put were poorly supported and moved when you walked on them. And if you don't like a crowd don't go when there is a wadding, you have to fight your way to the front desk to get your key at the end of a day sightseeing.

Staying at the Fitzgeralds Woodlands House Hotel was an absolute pleasure, the staff were so friendly and welcoming. The facilities were outstanding and beautiful. I would be so happy to come back and stay here again. It really was a lovely break and it was made all the better for staying at the Woodlands. There was nothing I didn't like whilst staying here.

The atmosphere is relaxed. The family rooms are very practical. I did not have to tell the kids to mind the lamp or not to knock the picture off the wall. The service in Brennan's was fab and friendly. The kid's club is a huge bonus to parents who do not get a minute to think. Aisling is super with the kids, no messing there!

Very nice hotel if you want to take a break from the hussle and bussle of crowds and want to relax away from the townlife. I throughly enjoed the spa and leisure facilities. I didn't like the idear of a free for all at the breakfast arrangements, I would much prefre to be served my breakfast. The hallway leading to the bedrooms was freezing on arrival and throughtout the duration of our stay, this was very disapointing as the weather was very cold and wet.

The care and attention of the staff, and a good gym/pool facility. I felt the function bar offered poor quality wine and was expensive.
