Liked everything about our stay with you staff, serves, food, all in General was so relaxing and lovely x
Venue and the warm welcome
We chose to stay here because of previous experience of a lovely weekend in this hotel - unfortunately it appears to be a victim of the economic crash, the hospitality is still there but the (very dated) room had one light working, I couldn't decide if the bath was dirty or just chipped, the food was overpriced and over-cooked, and the linguistic difficulties between ourselves and the waiter was quite frustrating. There was also surprise that we mentioned that the food was not up to standard, apparently it was the first time EVER anyone dared complain. It was also very noisy with children running all over the place at midnight, I know it's their holiday too but it's also my break where I'd like to get to sleep before 03.00!
Bathroom was excellent. Only there for 1 night so didn't use any amenities.
Being told in front of waiting guests that I could'nt use my debit card to charge meals to our room. Have no other card. Have never been in a hotel that did'nt have small table, 2 chairs & a dressing table/desk. Husband disabled so had to ask for table to put his dinner on. I had to sit on the bed all evening. Disappointed!
main areas all very good liked that we could chat with friends in small groups. Staff very attentive, food was very good.
rooms could do with a revamp but they were very clean beds very comfortable, shower awkward for elderly a conventional shower with mobile head is more practicle.
food in timmy macs, revas spa, leisure centre, entertainment in bar, friendly staff all round, most comfortable beds, new decor in most of the hotel from carpets to curtains,
Food and quality of room very good
The fact that there was a wedding there Friday and Saturday with their meet and greet in the hotel lobby , also the fact that guests had nowhere to get a drink while the wedding party were there as they filled the bar and there is only the one
Great food Great staff and lovely bar
every thing staff very friendly and very help full, rooms lovely and big, would go again
Staff were excellent
Room 211 needs a new bed. Dining Room is an experience
Room spacious & clean. Staff very helpful. Food all local & organic - & nice! Restful location near Limerick. Will visit again.
Food menu a bit pricey.
No hot water, No toileteries that was promised.
Room originally assigned was in poor shape and in a very distant part of the hotel. Dingy and depressing. Asked for another room. They were overbooked and gave us a room without windows that was suppose to be an upgrade..hardly. Refused this room and was given a nice room assigned to someone who hadn't shown up yet. (poor late arrival person!) I had booked this room two months in advance. Front desk person cordial, but after a long day of travel, walking and walking around this very large and awkward hotel was maddening. Hotel undergoing renovations, but this is a very large and crowded and conference center type place. Not to our liking at all, even if room had been acceptable at first try.
The hotel was very well appointed with an overall impression of quality and comfort. The rooms were clean and with especially comfortable beds. Reception staff were efficient.
It is such a shame that the whole experience was tainted by the poor attitude of the staff in the attached restaurant Timmy Mac's. They appeared to be running around chasing their tails and this frenetic atmosphere came across. As a mental health professional I have 40 years experience in observing human behaviour, and I have to say it was pathetic to watch. We were there for my fathers 86th birthday, and despite the staff bringing him a small cake with a candle, this just did not make up for the general lack of attentiveness and cool way they treated us. This was a shame.
Food was excellent
It's more of a wedding venue, not really for a solo traveller
Comfortable, friendly hotel with good facilities. Nice ambience and good food.
Friendly efficient staff, nice room & excellent food
Personal ,friendly service . I was there for a friends wedding - facilities, staff, food etc were excellent. We also had a lovely spacious clean room. The spa is also amazing .
There was nothing I didn't like .
