The location was very nice as were the grounds. We stayed just 1 night so we did not get the full impact of the lovely grounds Service in the dinning room was very slow. The food was great but once served we never saw the wait staff again for more than an hour.

It is situated near my family home in Dalkey. They are a noisy lot, so it is a great escape and also a treat for me to spend 2 quiet nights at the Castle , when we come to stay in Co. Dublin. Also i take full advantage of the lovely pool, and the treat of swimming before breakfast is something i just love.. My family love visiting me there because of the friendly elegant atmosphere.

Good value for money and friendly and professional service. Needs a bit of investment to modernise. Carpets and paintwork showing its age.

Loved the location, friendliness and willingness to help of hotel staff on a whole. Not impressed with being forgotten about at Dungeon Bar and Grill. It took the forth request to four different people to have our order taken (over the period of an hour).

Almost everything. No complaints other than the lack of a lounge; there is just a bar with tables and chairs. It would have been nice to have the opportunity relax in a more comfortable seating area with sofas and armchairs.

The closest castle option I could find near Dublin. It did not give me the feel of staying in a Castle. Nothing different than staying in big hotel. Standard deco nothing really luxurious.

The restaurant in the dungeon was fabulous.wifi very frustrating as you could only have one device. So when traveling with kindle, iPhone for work emails and iPad for general it was frustrating that you could only log one device. Crap really and the same wifi was at the Holyrood apartment in Edinburgh used the same wifi provider

The location gives you a "countryside" living idea although it is very close to the city. Have to wear (and buy on location) swimming caps in their swimming pool.

excellent location, nice facilities, good service. The main restaurant wasnt open so we had to use the cellar bar type restaurant, which was a dissapointment as when we had stayed before we had really enjoyed the dinner in the other reastaurant.

The view of Dublin Bay from the balcony our room and the access to Dart rail service from the nearby Dalkey station. Lovely hotel with great ambiance. The room was smaller than we expected.
