location perfect.. clean room,
I've honestly stayed in hundreds of hotels down throughout the years. If you are looking for a very comfortable bed and a goods nights sleep this is the hotel for you! Granted the room is a basic 3 star quality but it's clean and has what you need. for a three night break it would be perfect. For temple bar you are on the door step and city centre is less than 10 mins walk. Try it you won't be too disappointed!
The curtains are not blackout so bring your night eye mask as the sunlight will come through! If you want an early nights rest maybe look elsewhere as there is a nightclub connected to the hotel music stops about three am! You will hear the music.
great location great staff
value was terrible for the standard of room .... iv paid 60euro a night for a room and have been superb
What I liked was the location and initially the room was nice until it got a little later as the bar/club below opened.
Once the bar/club opened that was it. The music was so loud it felt like the bed was moving around the room with the vibrations. The noise of the people outside was awful. I usually can sleep through a bit of noise but this was too much. I had the tv on full volume to try and mask it but even at that the music overpowered it. When I complained to reception the lady just said at least your not on the first floor. It's worse there. I was on the second floor. I paid 100 euro per night for this hotel, definitely was not worth it. It would of been quieter to sleep on the street. Hotel staff shrugged their shoulders and dismissed my complaint. I put the do not disturb sign on the door and the staff still went into the room and moved things around/cleaned. Overall I was tired for my whole trip which meant I was up all night and had to take naps in the day as that was the only quietish time.
Great location easy access to 3arena via the luas. The room was clean and comfortable but for the odor of cigarette smoke it lingered even with the windows open. I reported it to staff so hopefully something will be done to sort it.
Stale cigarette smoke as mentioned
Found the location central to all entertainment which was brilliant. The rooms were comfortable with the basics in there which was suitable for the room being a base to explore from. There was a little noise at night but nothing that stopped us going to sleep. The sun streamed in first thing so could've done with blackout curtains. Check out at 12 perfect!
Arrived at hotel and we're met with a very miserable abrupt member of staff-( not viola who was extremely polite and friendly). Needed to request tea bags and milk for the room, but apart from that had a great stay!!!
Location was excellent central to all attractions and local amenities. On the door step of templebar and nearby main streets . Staff polite and helpful.
To be honest nothing really. If your not in the mood for partying late then this hotel is not for you as street noise and in house nite club will keep you awake till 4 am and then it all kicks off again from 8 am.
The location was good.staff were very friendly and nice.great atmosphere.
Said tea and coffee facilities in room but there was none.had required a double room but got triple room with3 single beds for a couple.we managed as we pushed beds together
The bar downstairs was awesome and the service was great. The people who work there are so nice and funny. The bathrooms are actually good! Who would have thought.
The beds were very hard but not the hardest I slept in. The walls are also a bit thin but it's not too bad.
The mainly-Eastern European front desk staff were very helpful despite initially appearing off-hand.
No sleep. Disco downstairs went full-throttle every night till 3am. Lots of other lively bars joined in. Party central - would suit those who like to party till 4am.
Great Location.........and clean despite many comments to the contrary
Paper Thin Windows Breakfast was poor (No Fry)
Location for Temple Bar Area was excellent . Close also to City centre and Grafton St. Stephens Green . room 306 was great with Balcony overlooking Temple Bar . Friends stayed in 301 overlooking the Liffy. Both rooms were large clean and comfortable . Staff were polite and friendly and reception staff were very helpful . Being in the middle of Temple Bar I was expecting a lot of noise but while it was very busy and lively none of us had any trouble sleeping . I would recommend Fitzsimons if you want Central value for money hotel and are visiting to enjoy the Craic.
No milk in room with the Tea/Coffee facilities.
The view of the river was the only good thing about the hotel/room.
Toilet didn't flush. No tea or coffee facilities. Loud noise in the day and at night (constant) Temperamental shower. Breakfast was awful.
Hospitality of people so friendly plenty of places to see n do we walked to all of them even tho there was a bus u could hop on n off as often as u liked
We stayed n drank in temple bar very expensive
Very nice staff and the location is absolutely great if you are going out in Dublin
Guests at this hotel need to realise that temple bar is party central and that it's going to be noisy. We loved that! Hotel was really handy for us.
Surprised at the number of beggars in Dublin streets. Didn't always feel safe at ATMs and would not have liked to be out alone at night (nothing about the hotel itself!)
Very convenient location
Noise from the bar and night club will keep you awake - so, if you are not there for the night life don't use this hotel
Being made to pay for breakfast when already included in price!!!
My second room, after I complained from the first one
Girl who checked me in, felt effortless to please a guest in their premises
Easy walk to town and restaurants with some great music everywhere. We found the breakfast both continental and full cooked to good standard . Room was nice and warm and clean
We must add if you take this hotel for a good nights sleep ,don't as there is music till early hours , night road cleaning and traffic noise. With ear plugs it,s a great place to stay.. We actually had a great time there.
Too noisy because of bars and night club in thw hotel. The facilities were very old - bed matteress was too soft due to its age.
Water was very warm, comfortable bed and good sized room and bathroom.
WiFi isn't great. Very complicated to connect to as you have to agree to give the network alot of private information for example access to your Facebook account.
Lack of sleep Way too noisy, no sleep until after 3 am both times we stayed at this hotel.
Excellent location close to Temple Bar. Friendly, helpful staff. Continental breakfast included. Room safes and guest security entrance.
Can be very noisy. Bars, night clubs within premises and surrounding areas and crowds until late make it difficult for the light sleeper as does early morning traffic along Wellington Quay.
