In the heart of the Georgian city of Dublin, this 3-star guesthouse features traditional dècor and furnishings. It was built in the 18th century, and was once part of the Earl of Clonmel’s estate.

Great location, room size fine, bed was comfy and didn't have any noise issues (on 4th floor). Super reception staff!
Not complaints, just notes: No breakfast on site (weekday only breakfast available at adjoining restaurant for a cost), no communal area / lounge, my ensuite bathroom was quite dated, no lift (lots of stairs in these types of buildings, so be prepared!). In summary, my stay was fine but I'm not sure that I'd choose to stay here again, tbh.
Went to take shower at around 0740 before going to work and water was cold, not ideal in January!
Nothing was a terrible experience.
Everything. The level of cleanliness was extremely bad.
The really helpful concierge (Stephen?) who rescued me and brought me and my car through the one way maze to get to the drop off point.
The drop off point at the side of the building, with so much traffic, is a nightmare if you are unfamiliar with the hotel and with Belfast. I could see the F sign from a distance but it disappeared as I got closer and I couldnt see a sign to tell me where to pull in. I missed the hotel but knew I'd gone to far and had to phone again. Tired and confused, I would have been circling Belfast for a good deal longer without help from the lovely concierge. A bigger sign would help!
Great location and good accommodation
Old fixtures and fittings
5-10 minute walk from St Stephen's Green and the centre of Dublin. Rooms were clean and the bed was extremely comfortable.
While a little noise from other rooms is understandable in older buildings, I could hear the shower going in the other rooms, and people walking around above us, which woke me up a couple of times. Apart from that we enjoyed our stay.
Very helpful staff
Location is ok, You Can Walk to the center easily.
No breakfast, just an option at the nearby restaurant but it was closed for refurbishing. The building is nice liaise but needs a serious restoration to the staircase and to the rooms. It's falling apart! Beds mattresses were terrible Luckily staff was warm and assisting.
IT was not at all as advertised , old , shabby, couldn't pull the curtains , hair dryer out of reach of the mirror , bulbs blown in lamps , never again !
Stayed 3 nights, loved the style of the hotel. The staff were nice.
Very old hotel which badly requires some renovation. The room on the 4th floor was very cold.
Overall excellent location very clean very comfortable. ..ok not the Ritz. ..but value for money in central Dublin on a Saturday night...excellent. ..oh and very quiet also!
That the shower didn't work.
Staff both helpful and friendly. Room well appointed though most of the space taken up by a double and a single bed. Very well situated. Never had to take any transport while in Dublin. The staff deserve high praise as they were always most helpful Whatever the request the proved fast friendly and efficient. Generally felt very much at home though it was my first visit. Will certainly stay there again.
Room a bit small however the furnishings were of the high quality to be expected of a town house.
excellent staff, great location,
it's a bit dated, could do with updating the rooms
The staff was so absolutely friendly, and very helpful. We were able to check in a little bit earlier because their staff was quick in getting the room ready. The room was located in the back, and very quiet.
Although the place has a lot of character, and history, it is slightly old, maybe new carpeting?
Location is great - close to lots of Museums and not far to walk to main shopping areas
All staff were friendly and willing to go the extra step They booked our taxi for the airport Guesthouse had lots of character and original moldings Location was perfect to walking to Trinity College, shopping district and major museums
Convenience to the city centre and the helpfulness of the staff - 2 of whom I met.
Room décor was shabby and not too clean. The over-fussy curtains were thick with dust on the top swags and the 2 'antique' chairs in the room were badly in need of restoration. A bit like what one would have seen in Ireland 50 years ago.
The location was excellent very close to the Stephen's Green /Grafton St.area.The staff were very friendly and helpful.I found the bed really comfortable and it was quiet at night so got a good sleep
There are no lifts which is awkward especially if you have to carry heavy luggage. The floorboards creak really loudly but then this place is old so it is to be expected. There was a large crack across the ceiling in our room. The bathroom was very cramped with a tiny shower. Not the place to come to if you are looking for luxury
Really good location, excellent staff and good value for money in Dublin
The room was very hot!
So many stairs!!!
The bed The size of the room Planty teabags
Toilet took a wee while to fill up before you could flush
Close to city centre and a great hotel for a group of friends
Comfortable bed Helpful staff Friendly staff Clean and bright
The location and price. Close to landmarks and good restaurants. Staff
The endless stairs.
