Staff helpful And friendly . This was our 2nd stay here and a huge improvement on our last visit.
Great value for Galway. Very good bands playing in the bar both nights. Reasonably priced food.
Late check in and staff available when we landed after 10pm. We had early hospital appointment the next morning and again the staff were available leaving our checkout quite quick. We also returned in the afternoon to try out their carvery which was lovely and very reasonably priced.
Room was chilly we didn't mind but we had our two year old daughter with us and felt it a bit cold for her.
Location was ideal. Facilities were overall very good.
Tv in room was very old and picture quality not good.
It was right next door to GMIT and I was able to walk there in less than 5 minutes.
Staff are super friendly, rooms are spotless and I'd definitely stay her again.
friendliness of reception staff, helpful, cordial
pay 10 eur extra for breakfast- steep
Staff comfort bar food service all second to none
From the moment we arrived to the moment we left was like 5 star treatment
everything was super we thought it excellent
I liked the bed it was really big
The bathroom was really small no ventilation and the shower was the worse I could see in my life. The linen was not perfectly clean but it was acceptable.
The staff were very helpful and friendly and whole stay was very relaxing
Our waiter Dean in the bar was outstanding. He was friendly and engaging and could quite obviously read his audience and adapted his style and approach to fit in with all the guests. Nothing was too much trouble. The wine glasses in the bar were not the best and I politely asked the barman (who I later found out was shift supervisor if others were available. He said yes they did have some but when I asked would he mind checking he bluntly told me there were none. 5 mins later Dean came to where we were sitting to check we were Ok for everything. I mentioned the wine glasses and Dean said "give me 4 seconds and I'll be back". He swiftly returned with two long stem glasses and made our night. He gave us good advice on where to go in Galway city, when he passed me queuing at reception he intuitively guessed I was waiting for a taxi to be called and immediately made it happen for us. He is a credit to the hotel. He tells me it is his birthday next weekend...I think he should be given the night off!! The receptionist staff were also very helpful, polite and friendly. The bar supervisor let the experience down which is a shame. I haven't stayed in the hotel for a number of years. The rooms have quite clearly been renovated and are very comfortable. The carpets are clean and luxurious. The bathroom was clean and inviting. The fixtures of good quality. The radiator in our room (301) was stuck on full blast and I couldn't adjust it. I did mention this to the receptionist when checking out but I didn't report earlier as I quite like warmth. I believe if I had, it would have been looked after.
The bar supervisor on duty Saturday evening 21st February. He wasn't engaging. My friend (visiting from UK) was counting change as she didn't want to bring it all back with her. He was quickly irritated by this and took the change from her saying he would sort it out. The gesture was lost in his approach. Our request for different wine glasses was also met with irritation and lack of interest. He walked with an air of superiority and gave the impression customers were an inconvenience.
The helplines of the staff
Turning right out onto the road as traffic was very busy.
Value for money, gorgeous food very relaxing
The staff were so friendly and could not do enough for you.
Staff very friendly and kids enjoyed staying there
I didn't like that the carpet wasn't very clean. And the fact that the coffee cups, saucers and spoons, in the room, do not get properly cleaned and replaced...
Accommodated a late check in no bother.
No breakfast available at 11.30pm when I was leaving even though check out was at 12 noon?! Entered bar and waited at a table for a few minutes with nobody approaching me. Bar maid was chatting to lady in joined/ adjacent/ common doorway area for a few minutes and did not notice me. A bit put off by this lack if service as all I wanted was two fried eggs and two rashers and tea. Opportunity to take mg money was missed there unfortunately, and bar maid had a row of early drinkers at her bar at that stage on Friday morning and was not looking down to eating area.
Very friendly and relaxed. Lovely staff. All good
Bar food was lovely and room was cosy
Food was nice in the bar and staff in the bar were friendly
The first room we got was old and looked thrown together for our stay. Second room which we had to change to was slightly better but brown stains on the roof in it wasn't nice.for the price of the room it wasn't satisfactory at all.
Very friendly staff.
the hotel was close to the city center .
