Everything was very professional but without any fuss. The room was extremely clean and breakfast excellent. All in all it was excellent value for money. It was not a problem for our party but the lack of a lift could prove problematic. I may be wrong but cannot remember seeing this mentioned. |

The hotel was very comfortable and the staff extremely helpful I would recommend the Guest House to anyone wanting to stay in Cork it was reasonable and handy for the twon centre although a little of a hill climb to it. |

Breakfast was good They would not let me cancel my reservation even with the proper notice. Even though we checked in several hours after check-in time our room still was not ready. |

Room was spotlessly clean. The staff on reception, particularly Valerie, were lovely - went out of their way to see if we needed directions to anywhere, asked if we enjoyed the gig we had been to the night before we checked out - very friendly! |

Always coffee and tea available. Nice staff in the hotel. Wifi available at no charge. And those things are just what I need in a hotel/B&B. I will stay there again when I'm in cork |

Just an over-night stay here but we received a friendly welcoming. The building has lots of character and has been nicely refurbished, Our guest room was larger than we expected for the price paid. I enjoyed my breakfast in their pleasant dinning room. I would stay here again. |

The staff were very welcoming, friendly, helpful and informative. The home made food and breakfast menu variety were top class. It was especially nice to talk to the chef. The location is very convenient with a very relaxing garden area over looking the river Lee and Cork City. I'll be back! |

Nice old house, guesthouse. Very good value for money, friendly and helpful staff, very good breakfast, good location, about 10 mins walk from city centre. Free WiFi available. Comfortable bed and good bathroom. Rooms lacking in wardrobe space. There is a place to hang clothes but it's not enclosed. Have to pay in advance. |

The breakfast room was very nice and the food was excellent. Although the uphill walk to the hotel took more than five minutes from the bus station, as described by the hotel guide (I would say 15 minute walk), it is located at a very nice area. The building was well kept. I had a major problem the first night. My room in the attic (4th floor) was very hot with 2 tiny windows open toward the sky. Because it was so hot, I could not fall in sleep. Then around 1 a.m. people in the neighbouring rooms returned and the nightmare started. They made all kinds of noises (door banging, talking/laughing loud at the hallway and in the rooms with the door wide open and running in and out of the rooms until 4 a.m. I complained twice and finally the noise stopped. I complained about this to the hotel staff next morning (couldn't go back to sleep at all) and they changed my room to a lower floor next day. I did not have a problem with that room. |

Very convenient for the main railway station (that's why I chose it). Pity I didn't have time to sample the full breakfast in the morning. Being in a basement room, there was some disturbance from the person in the dininhg room above setting out breakfast (?) between about 23.00 and 01.00. You should remember that the creaking floorboards are not compatible with sleep!! |
