Friendly staff and nice breakfast Room 13 Free Parking
We were given a gorgeous room with views over the garden, river and railway. The breakfast was excellent and the staff exceptionally friendly and helpful.
Light sleepers may struggle with the noise of the early morning trains.
Welcome Good bathroom/shower Helpful staff The geese!
The noise from the corridor (I was next to the dining room)
Many choices for breakfast, especially liked the horseradish salmon plate.
Lovely clean modern hotel Friendly & helpful staff Good parking
- Very friendly and helpful staff - Lovely decorated rooms - Quiet (at least during my stay as there were not many guests at the time) - Very tasty breakfast - Beautifully tended grounds
- The bathroom was a bit outdated
Very pleasant staff and helpful. Good choice for breakfast served with a smile... It has also a back garden, well kept after, with ducks running around....lovely stay.
The location, up a steep hill but manageable.
Excellent staff, very clean rooms and close to down town. Would highly recommend
Very close to train and ship yard which made it loud at times but not unbearable
The thoughtfulness of staff to Guests, a very warm and sincere welcome. Good advice on where to dine, what to see and public transport availability especially for those on foot.
Very friendly staff. Great choice for breakfast. Very clean and well apponted rooms. Nice patio & garden area to rear. Will be staying again.
Wi-Fi is a bit hit & miss.
Helpful staff Breakfast was excellent Excellent shower Very good value
Location was up the top of a very steep hill
A lovely warm welcome from Kathleen when I arrived after a very long drive, I instantly felt at home. Warm and cosy room, very comfortable and undisturbed nights sleep.
Loved the bedrooms and overall presentation
Most of the tv channels didn't work Couldn't access wifi Was on bottom floor and was very noisy
The fact that the room wasn't checked properly before I got to use it. If it had been checked the problem with the kettle might have been discovered plus the shower fittings.
Conveniently located with nice views from our windows at the rear of the building.
You have to be really fit to get into town as it is a steep road downhill. Then you have to climb back up to return. It was such an effort getting back we did not have the energy to go out again at dinner time.
Great staff, great breakfast and locations
Single bed in room 19 was leaned on a slope away from the wall, so easy to roll out. Easily by about 10-15 degrees
Great location. Great value for money. Friendly staff. Comfortable bed would definitely recommend this guest house.
Did not like the sausages with the breakfast but the rest was nice.
The room was nice and the staff was very kind.
There were some dishes from breakfast which was dirty on the table, that is, they were not properly washed, or replaced.
Breakfasts are made to order from an extensive menu, which included farm fresh eggs. We enjoyed leisurely breakfasts in a lovely setting over looking the garden watching the ducks. The staff are very helpful with any questions you may have. We enjoyed our stay at Gabriel house very much.
Bathroom was nice
Our room was beside brekfast room. Woke up at 8am with people talking outside our door
Location to train and bus
Gabriel House is an old-fashioned guest house with friendly, helpful staff. Our room was large and comfortable with a great view over Cork and wifi is free. The breakfast was excellent, with eggs from their own chickens cooked to your liking.
The hotel is a short walk into Cork, but it is on quite a steep hill. There is no lift, so be prepared to carry luggage up a couple of floors. We overlooked the railway station, which was a little noisy in the morning
Staff-very accommodating, friendly; greeted me by first name Location-near railway station without the noise Good value for money
Breakfast room can become very crowded during peak times, not all guests can be accommodated Walls are thin; can hear the neighbors a bit too much Wifi signal is extremely weak, even for text messages/email
Lovely newly renovated bedroom and en-suite bathroom awaited us. Super breakfast too.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. Valerie was very kind and made us feel at home. The breakfast was excellent. The location was perfect. just a few minutes walk to the city centre.
