we got an excellent rate.staff were friendly and helpfull.hotel was in a good location and provided good tickets at discount prices to Glenveigh Park. bar food was disappointing.lifts to 3rd floor were a bit convoluted!there was very little room in the shower as the shower curtain was too far over the bath and the hand rail left the standing area very restricted.

Price very reasonable for b&b , rooms clean and hotel very centrally located. Gallaghers hotel contacted me 48 hrs prior to our arrival, they asked me to read and sign their non disturbance policy, it basically said if anyone was making noise or there was any damage to property the person who was the lead booking would be charged 50 euro person for compensation. I contacted the hotel & told them I didnt have a credit card available for this and they then wanted each person to leave 50 euro cash at the receptinon as a deposit and it would be refundable on departure. I wanted to cancel the booking at this stage as the group werent prepared to do this. I informed the manager that it was my mothers 60th birthday and there would be no hassel so she decided to not proceed with the non-disturbance policy, however when we checked in at the hotel we were asked to sign it again but declined and informed them that we had already spoke with the manager about this. At the time of booking the hotel there was no mention of any disturbance policy. I think that groups should be warned about this at booking rather than have it sprung on them at the last minute when they cant cancel. Other than this the hotel was fine and we had a great time.

My girlfriend and I stayed at gallaghers for the weekend and the staff were really welcoming. The main reason we choose gallaghers was the price was reasonable for the location in centre of town and the rooms were spacious and comfortable. Breakfast each morning was really good . Free car parking was an added bonus. Staff were more than helpful with anything we needed. Would definitely stay here again and will recommend to anyone. Only negative I would have is lack of channels on tv and lack of fresh fruit at breakfast but other than that fantastic stay!!!

Very convenient location and well priced. Good size rooms. I was surprised at the state of the carpets in the corridors, poorly laid and let the hotel down. The bed linen was poorly fitted also and the throws were worn. Room could do with a desk chair - the armchairs were very low for laptop work.

Comfortable bed. Breakfast. Quiet. Clinging shower curtain! Too 'fur coat and no knickers'. Lack of signage / explanation about access to and location of car parking. Menu - very 'hotel food' / uninspiring.

Gallaghers hotel is perfectly positioned in Lettekenny for a business person, however in todays world and with the level of it services available in modern hotels it is laughable not to have Wireless available in your room. It is for that reason that I will not be staying in Gallaghers again.

The room The food was to expensive and cold. Ordered and paid for starter that i not didn't get. When I ordered a steak it didn't have any sides at all, had to order seperately at extra cost and waited again.

We have stayed in many hotels and found that Gallaghers fell well below "the norm". The internet did not work in our room (escential for keeping in touch with family and friends). The bathroom was drab and needed tidying up in places(paintwork etc), there were no shampoo, no bath/shower lotion, no biscuits with the tea bags/coffee. Small things but all included in every other hotel that we have stayed in

“I stayed in the Station House previously & I found it to be an excellent hotel. I have stayed in 4 star hotels and not received the service, cleanliness, or hospitality that I found in the Station House. This stay was no different. It is also very handy for the retail shopping areas. ” Tommy, Riverstown, Co Sligo |
