Gallaghers Hotel  

I am just dissappointed that we did not ask the name of the duty hotel manager, she was BRILLIANT! so would you express our gratitude for the effort she showed which made our stay all the more comfortable and enjoyable. If it wasn,t for her we would have dined out more. but she adjusted the menu and really made the effort to accommodate our wishes. all the staff first class and friendly. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel was nice and quiet. Very convenient for wandering around the town and for visiting the shopping / retail areas.Nice dining room area.

The bedroom was a smoking room, which we asked for, as my wife smokes, but it smelled like the windows had never been opened and it hadn't been aired. The smell of stale smoke was overpowering when we entered the room. We left the window open wide while we were out and it was much better on our return. I commented on that when we were booking out, and they said they would sort it out. Hope they do. While the room was cleanish, ie vacuumed, bedding was clean. Mattress was nice and comfortable, ensuite was clean, it could really do with a good spring clean. Maybe the non-smoking rooms were better.

The hotels was clean, and staff were polite and friendly. The room was spacious and clean. I ate in the bistro which was very reasonably priced

Ideal location if you need Letterkenny as a base to roam around the Donegal countryside. Rooms are comfortable, clean and spacious but wouldn't classify them as luxurious. Great value for money for a weekend break.

The fact that it is in the centre of town and the lovely upstairs bar with the big glass window even though the window could do with a good clean

That has got a bit run down the last time we stayed there the rooms where perfect but this time the paint was peeling off the bathroom ceiling and there were dents in the walls it a shame cos all it needs is a small bit of maintenance to keep it up to standard, seeing as it is a fairly new hotel in a good location

Gallaghers was an excellent hotel for the money. The full Irish breakfast offered alongside is completely worth the money. I had a corporate room by myself, and the rooms were quite large and the bathrooms updated. The room also provided a safe, which was nice.

There isn't anything I "didn't" like. I do wish there was better wifi strength in the rooms. However, the lobby did just fine. I'd also like to see the carpets in the rooms updated. Other than that, there were no real negatives.
