Located beside Heuston Station and Dublin’s Phoenix Park, the family-run Gate Lodge B&B is in a beautiful Georgian townhouse. It offers comfortable rooms with TVs and home-cooked breakfasts. The bright and spacious rooms feature cable TV, a telephone and tea/coffee-making facilities. They include a private bathroom with a shower, hairdryer and free toiletries. Traditional cooked Irish breakfasts are served each morning, using fresh local produce along with a selection of cereals, yogurt and fruit. Sandwiches and continental breakfasts are available for early departures. The bright and airy dining room has a guest fridge and microwave oven as well as a pc and printer for guest use and free Wi-Fi access. The Guinness Storehouse and Dublin Zoo are a 10 minute walk away. There is a Luas stop at Heuston, which provides easy access to the center of the city and docklands, while there is a bus stop at Heuston with a direct route to Dublin Airport. The staff is very friendly and nice. Breakfast was started from 7.30. I would go to Cork one early morning, and the owner made me a sandwich because I couldn't eat breakfast that morning. The room was clean, nice, warm and cute! It was near to the Hueston Station and LUAS.

The staff were helpful, the room was spotless, the breakfast was tasty, the price was reasonable. The wireless internet only worked in the dining room which was a little inconvenient, but otherwise there were no problems.

It's very rare to fine a beautiful place to stay for a reasonable price in these economic times. The Gate House is a rare jewel, friendly, wonderful, warm, and great breakfast in the morning. Close to tram stop and Heuston Station. Thanks Grainne and family!

Loved the building, loved the room, loved the breakfast :) Right across the street form Phoneix Park and the Dublin Zoo. Easy to catch a bus or train and a taxi. 2 good pubs across the street for dinner Liked it all!

The host was great and even made us sandwiches to take with us. Location is close to the main train/bus station but please note that there is no train service to the airport. It is on a busy street and the decor is budget--nothing fancy just the basics.

The place is very nice and I would certainly recommend it. Provides all you can expect from properly operated BnB: clean, warm and comfortable room, tasty breakfast, speedy wifi for video calls. The location is also good: transport, food, park - everything is in close proximity. If you are a runner - take training shoes with you.

The hotel was ideally located to Phoenix Park and St. James Hospital. The staff were vet friendly and accommodating while at the same time not over-bearing. Will stay again next time I am in town.
