Gleeson's Townhouse & Restaurant is een prachtig gerestaureerd 19e-eeuws huis in het centrum van Roscommon, met uitzicht op het stadsplein. Gleeson ligt naast het VVV/museum, en is daarmee de perfecte uitvalsbasis voor het verkennen van het westen en de Midlands van Ierland. Het heeft een gratis beveiligde parkeerplaats en vriendelijk personeel. Gleeson is door Les Routiers uitgeroepen tot 'Host of the Year' en wordt hoog gewaardeerd in internationale reisgidsen. Alle kamers hebben een eigen badkamer en bieden een hoge mate van luxe en comfort. De hele dag worden uitstekende regionale gerechten geserveerd in het Manse Restaurant of in Gleeson's Cafe. Many people offer surperlatives and hyperbolies which are innacurate. So it would not be in any way an exaggeration to speak of Gleesions in the highest form of praise. The atmosphere, the staff, the culinary delights and accommodations deserve the highest recognization and praise. I have contacted Foder's Guide to Ireland and requested that Gleesions be include in their next edition.

I came with my friend to meet my Irish family for the 1st time and discover my heritage just outside of Roscommon township. We found the hospitality and friendliness, the helpfulness and care just amazing! The rooms, food, staff and location were wonderful for our short 2 day trip! Thank you to all concerned! We will certainly return!

I loved the friendliness of the staff and the owners were particularly nice and welcoming. The location is very central and the food in their restaurant was excellent. We stayed in one of their suites and this was absolutely gorgeous, spacious and comfortable. Great value for money. Without a doubt we will be back.

This was our 3rd stay at the wonderful Gleesons Townhouse. The staff are so welcoming. The rooms are so comfortable and done to a very high standard. And the food is gorgeous. I would strongly recommend Gleesons to anyone wanting a break in the west of Ireland.

Mary and Eamon ( in fact all the staff) were so welcoming and kind,this was our 4th. visit and it felt like home from home,from the moment we walked in until we left they all could not do enough for us All our .the meals were wonderful,too much in the case of breakfast,fresh,and hot. The bedroom was nice and the beds were lovely and comfortable. This is not a complaint,but I visited with my Mother who is a little disabled and finds stairs challenging and a lift would have made life a little easier.

The location was excellent, with safe car-parking. The complimentary tea and scones on arrival is a nice touch and were a welcome treat after our journey. The staff were lovely, very friendly. And dinner in the restaurant was beautiful - though I could only manage one course. Oh, and the homemade bread is delicious!

Attractive appearance. Central to town and some good local attractions. Pleasant surroundings. Friendly and hospitable staff. Good food. Cosy. Has accomodation, coffee shop, restaurant, function room.

My mum and myself stayed two nights in gleesons last week to relax after a stressful time we had a wonderful time as the staff were very nice and the room we were in was beautiful there was tea/coffee available in your room comfortable beds and a bath I had a relaxing bubble bath and felt all the stress melt away there is a car park at the back and a lovely court yard at the front, the house is a old style vintage type which has loads of charm and is very special and unique they bake and cook wonderful meals and bread with loads of choice,the town itself is small and has a lot of shops you seldom see where there is a mixture of goods in the one shop, near by there is a wonderful park were you can walk or in fine weather you could have a picnic, we would love to go again and we felt we were new people when we came home after our stay thanks to all in gleesons.

Guy at the reception was very chatty. I didn't enjoy the breakfast, the bacon was very greasy and I got something that resembled fried potoatoes but which didn't look very apetising.
