Comfy bed, lovely warm room. clean.Tea and coffee making facilities. big room. friendly helpful receptionist. Turn left & drive 5 minutes direct to Salthill.
It was perfect and reasonably priced. €50 for a family room.
First impression not great, until we met Emer (spelt with a y somewhere) what a sweetheart!! First off she managed to swop our room to a double as I by mistake booked a twin, had great information on things to do, always a smile, chat and giggle from her,and she even thought my husband from New Zealand " cupla focal". Not by any means a 5 star but with the price we didn't expect it, enjoyed it so much we even asked Emer to squeeze us in for another night.. Bar + restaurant nice although not much selection, night porter a gent, actually all the staff seemed happy and friendly, except one girl on front of house on our last day stay, bit grumpy and false.. In all had a great stay and will be back in April.. Jake is looking forward to lesson number 2 in gaeilge Emer!!
Wi-Fi patchy in the bedroom, but worked perfect downstairs,, turned out we didn't need it that much anyway, with Emer the encyclopedia of conamara to hand :-)

Value for money. Nice staff.
My room was overly warm. I was unable to sleep with the heat. I also had an extra door in my room which led onto another bedroom I was not made aware of this when I checked in.
I met a really lovely receptionist who was patient and helpful as I was in an adjoining room and needed to move due to noise. Then there was no hairdryer in my new room and she was most helpful.
At 23.30 hrs a drunk guest was on my corridor banging and shouting ,using vulgar language to his ? partner who had locked him out of room. This went on for 15 mins and im sure could be heard in reception as its a small hotel but no one investigated, I phoned and spoke to ? night porter and explained that I was alone and it was frightening. He thanked me but I don't think he checked it out as that guest returned twice more still roaring abuse and banging loudly at her door. Not going back because of that experience mostly because the staff didn't deal with it as expected.
Could not connect to wifi, said the signal was not strong enough in the room. Sheets were all creased like they'd been slept in. Beds were not very comfortable. Walls were paper thin, got a noice complaint in the ten minutes it took us during the process of brushing teeth, removing makeup, putting pjs on before getting into bed. And when the knock came on the door to complain we were already asleep. So frustrating. In the morning we were awake from 8am as we could hear everything in the rooms either side of us.
Friendly staff, bar/restaurant was really good.
Bedsheets and towels were dirty. Couldn't access WiFi in my room.
Friendly staff, room clean and warm. On site car parking and nearby bus stops for city centre. Restaurant food good and prices reasonable.
Can't think of any thing.
Only one towel in bathroom .
€8.00 taxi from city centre, But the bus stop is across the road from the hotel and it will drop you in the city centre in bus hours.
