Location was fine
Very small beds with cheap matrass. Greasy fried breakfast
If you stay out late for a couple of pints in marvelous Kilkenny expect to spend 30 minutes outside trying to get into hotel. My key cards didn't work + nobody available to let me in. Be warned
A table lamp would have been helpful at the desk in the room. Only one window in a long room.
Proximity to Golf, City, Taxis, Shops. Excellent!!
Would have liked a Bath instead of shower...but realise just a personal preference.
Pleasent staff, perfect breakfast, accesibility, excellent service We liked it a lot, perfect place to stay
Leakage in the shower, diner not possibel
very friendly staff room up to standard nice quiet area i would go back again
there was nothing i didnt like about it
private parking nice room
very close to city center
not recomended for seniors
Ideal location, two minutes in a taxi to the city center. I have been here numerous times and it is a lovely business. The staff are very helpful and polite. The room itself was a twin room with two single beds. Myself and a friend stayed the one night. The room was a small room but ideal for one night. The beds were comfortable. The bathroom facilities were small but again they did the job. The shower however was a bit temperamental. The Glendine offers a Pub,Restaurant, off-licence and b&b. Highly recommend it for anyone travelling looking for somewhere cheap, comfortable and looking for value for money.
Our Key card did not work on entering the B&B when we returned from our night out. Wifi was poor enough signal.
Rooms are lovely, good value for money.
Noise from the residents bar all night
Rooms were clean.
The entire inn including the rooms were smokey. All rooms and fixtures looked outdated. Our shower had mold residue on the side and wasn't sealed properly so lots of water would leak our while we showered. I understand this is a budget stay, but I'd rather pay a bit more and know I could've gone somewhere much nicer. Also a far walk to city center so we drove instead.
The staff were friendly and the manager was on hand to help with the luggage and the parking was good.
The location - too far from local attractions and situated on a busy road. The corridor to our room was stuffy and smelt of stale cigarette smoke. When asked for a non-smoking room we were told that they don't have any. The room itself was stuffy and hot and the two windows provided no airflow.
We were at a wedding when we had to come back we were locked out of th hotel on 3 occasions and couldn't get in
Rooms were clean, parking convenient
Hard to locate staff upon arrival with bar and reception kind of all together and covering 2 rooms. A far walk to town center.
I was attending a wedding in the Newpark Hotel and stayed here afterwards. Its location is excellent for the hotel and is also only about 15 minutes from Kilkenny city.
Bathroom walls had dirty splash marks and only 3 channels on TV. The decor was a bit old and the bed linen was different on both beds and a bit washed out. My key wouldn't work on the bedroom door when I arrived back but this was sorted when I rang the staff.
it was fair just for one night
a bit of the way out of town
No hot water, walls paper thin, rooms at front very noisy with taxis pulling up and collecting people from the bar up to 2.30am.
good location .. good food.. good value for money
could do with painting inside a little freshing up
Affordable and friendly
Smell of drains in bedroom and cold shower both mornings!
Close to the Newpark for weddings Very good value for money
No Hot Water in Room 6 Noisy at times.
The staff was very friendly, even at the late hour we checked in.
The rooms were very small. The rooms and inn were not at all like the pictures provided online, but as only stayed for a night it was fine.
Clean, nice facilities.
Close to a busy road with lots of traffic and noise. A little far from town. Walkable but a hike.
Requested gluten-free cereal and bread when booking, weeks in advance. It was not there the first morning. Was told it would be there the following morning. It still was not.
It was across the road from the hotel I needed to do business in.
It was rooms above a bar. The price was reflective of a hotel and far too costly for what was on offer. 70 euros per night would get you a far better accomm and I only stayed there because there were two teaching conferences on in Kilkenny and very little available. My colleague staying at Zuni joked continuously about her luscious accomm which was centuries ahead and a comparable price.
