Location and the elegance of the building. Helpfulness of staff.

Lack of atmosphere, poor use of beautiful drawing/sitting rooms, no nespresso coffee Machine in bedroom as is standard in similar quality hotels.

The Glenlo Abbey had a warm atmosphere even though it was so grand. The breakfast room and buffet set up was elegant. The staff were welcoming, friendly and kind. I enjoyed staying outside of the busy city of Galway, but it was easily accessible by car.

    The staff were very pleasant

Our rooms were not 5 star standard, The shower in my room didn't work and the bathroom was shabby and dated. The insect grill on the bedroom window was held in place with packing tape and my son's room's ceiling was littered with cobwebs. The breakfasts were poor. Won't be recommending it to anyone, Stayed in better b and bs.

Food excellent Eventually Room was OK

There was a problem with the room from a mechanical noise. We tried to get it resolved but it returned very early next morning. The staff denied all knowledge yet the Manager had told us the same noise had happened week before. Their response was very poor and spoilt a special holiday.

The staff were very helpful and friendly.

We had an executive room. The bathroom was tiny. No room even for our ovn toilet bags. In the shower no shelf for shampoo and soap. A lot of noise from rooms next door.

there was a wedding the night we stayed and my wife could not sleep. The hotel moved us the next night and gave a discount, which was fair. Other than that fantastic place!

    comfortable & clean staff friendly

As bottles of water are so cheap to purchase in bulk they should be complementary at least as they are in 3 star hotels!! Bad start on entering a hotel room on a warm day!!! restaurant prices overpriced..
