A little far out of town (6K) - no Spa.
The open fires and candles, the fabulous flowers. Breakfast was wonderfu,l yummy pancakes. Totally perfect place to get away from the rain and the cares of the world.
We enjoyed the food , the experience on the orient express, the local people in the bar and the view from our room . thank you for a great week end . Merry Christmas. Colette
When travelling to connemara the location avoids a lot of traffic. The bedrooms are spacious and comfortable and are not noise. N
Pub atmosphere. Orient Express restaurant excellent atmosphere and food.
Advertised in room movies. No pay movies, just old DVDs and not very many.

We liked everything, the location, the room, the bar, the restaurants and especially the staff, from the reception, to the bar, housekeeping, restaurant staff, valet, bell man and management. The staff is amazing. So freindly and helpful. We highly recommend this location.

Very warm friendly hotel breakfast great food good alough did not eat in Pullman restaurant as found it very expensive Michael in the bar was very friendly and great crack
Did not feel room was 5 star have stayed in much better 3 star rooms stayed in room 302 decor was dated bathroom was small fan did not work shower was terrible not what I expected in a five star our room was supported to be a king size deluxe did not feel like it Windows in hotel need a good clean
Carpet needed cleaning in bedroom Dinner on train cold Curtains in main sitting room need fixing
Relaxation and peace. Yet close to Galway city
Restricted menu on the orient
It was stated on website as a five star hotel. Our room was nothing like website pictures. There was a lot of dust and cobwebs in the room especially on all the lamps. The bathroom was really grubby with mould/mil due on tiles around ceiling. The toilet didnt flush properly and the shower was certainly not a power shower as stated on website. The room was also cold even after turning the radiator on. My booking claimed that we would have complimentary water but had we drank it we would have been charged €4.00 each! The breakfast was a terrible experience. There was no table available when we arrived down at 10am and we had to wait in another room. There were plenty of spare tables. They were just not cleared or not set at all. We went for some juice and cereal but there were no glasses or bowls. I asked for some and was still left waiting for some time. We finally got our Hot food and it was quite below average with the menu notifying us that it was only one item per. person. To be honest we felt like we were an inconvenience to be here. Maybe because we booked our room online and got what we thought was a good offer! We were very dissapointed as we were actually viewing it as a potential wedding venue. I would never stay here again.
Bed and room too warm.
Food, especially the brown bread
Need more power points Bedroom, easily accessible
Only problem weather was so mild for this time of the year I found the hotel too hot !! but some people would say that was a good complaint !
I traveled to Glenlo Abbey with my mum for a short break away. We enjoyed our trip immensely. The decor, the ambiance and fireplaces made it a fantastic location for our trip. We enjoyed afternoon tea on arrival and were delighted with the friendliness of the staff. Breakfast was delicious and we had a lovely view of the golf course. Looking forward to our next visit already.
A great nite in a great place, open fires were bliss!
the staff was very friendly, and accommodated our request for a better room with a view. the grounds are kept in excellent condition
we could not open the window in our room, so it was warm inside for breakfast, the servers were not at all friendly or courteous.
Wouldn't go back at all.
The whole experience was excellent & the staff were extremely friendly. Would definitely recommend & will stay again
Everything was lovely. The dinner in the Pullman restaurant was superb and the whole Orient Express experience a memory to be treasured.
