The breakfast was delicious and the people were excellent. Dublin, as any city, is a bit pricey to stay in the center of town so why not stay near a rail station? DART EXTREMELY close and quick ride into town.
The location was perfect for our business. Peter, the host was most helpful. Very comfortable and spotlessly clean. Great vaue for the area. Also the breakfast was really good.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfasts were scrumptious and plentiful. They were also very helpful about how to travel around the city and what to see. One evening we needed to go to a nearby restaurant. It was raining but too near to get a taxi. The manager offered to drive us in his own car to the venue and he would not accept any payment. Wow, awesome place.
Very pleasant; good staff and comfortable rooms. Easy location for access to town. Not much to complain about- would stay here again.
Very nice room Very nice breakfast 5 minutes walk to dart station sandymount (3 or 4 stations to city) or 12 euro per taxi Very friendly people Among all expensive weekend stays in dublin, was glenogra the less expensive
Good customer service.
tea and coffee in the rooms, lovely breakfast, quiet but attentive service
good breakfast, Car-Park, nice room (not too small)
bathroom needs a slight renewal
Web-site good - welcoming, plenty of photos. Downstairs entrance, lounge and dining hall pleasant - nice furniture/decor,in keeping with the house. Staff friendly and helpful ... and kind. Bed linen clean and fresh and pillows noticeably comfortable. Good sized bedroom and en suite. Shower pressure very good. Good choice of items for breakfast. Taxi service available to hail right outside door! Reasonably priced, especially considering the area.
Disappointing bedroom (others look nicer). Our decor looked very tired and old-fashioned - needs updating. Stains on chairs and particularly bad on floral bed-heads. Carpet wrinkled and not fitted properly. Stripey wallpaper stained. Kettle very slow to boil and difficult to handle for right-handed person. Had to search for power-points. Grouting in bathroom really bad around shower. (In time, will cause damp problems). Shower curtain rail rusted. No-one available at 10.30 p.m. to ask for more coffee and milk. Glenogra unattended overnight?
Nice room. Excellent breakfast. And 15 mn to go to the centre of Dublin.
Comfortable, beautiful house, pleasant neighbourhood, nice staff, fine breakfast.
Room was a bit cold and dark but I spent only the nights there, so it wasn't a problem, after all.
Location is very good for transfer using bus and Dart. Staff were very helpful
Location close to where I have business
The place can use a bit of renovation
For early departure earlier breakfast was arranged.
Our own power adapter did not match the wall socket of this hotel, which can be used at all other hotels in Britain, Isle of Man and Ireland. But owner of this hotel was kind enough to lend us his own whenever we stayed.
Room nice and spacious. Very clean. Breakfast very good and staff very pleasant.t
Everything, wld lodge here again. I have stayed here before and the standard keeps getting better. It is nice when your recognises you and recalls your last visit.
good location, close to both the city centre and port (ferry). Easy start when you plan to visit the Wicklow Mountains (south). Rooms are ok and comfy, with all what you need but not more.
the owners were not present and the lady in charge couldn't help with booking taxis to go out. I just saw the owner when I paid, just before leaving. Not a great welcome....
Liked the place very much. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Excellent room and breakfast
Great place to stay in Dublin. Friendly staff, comfortable room and nice location. The breakfast was nice too.
Cooking smells in my room as soon as breakfast started being prepared
Liked everything. The host was very good.i would definately recommend it.
This was a return visit to Glenogra House. This is a wonderful place to stay in Dublin. The breakfast was outstanding and well prepared for me personally. I will return the next time I travel to Dublin!
Our stay at Glenogra House was perfect...centrally located, we were able to use public transportation to visit City Centre and get to the airport very easily...and use dart to visit outlying towns...excellent pubs within walking distance in Ballsbridge and Sandymount...beautifully decorated - the entire atmosphere is warm and welcoming...the breakfasts are phenomenal....Mariah is an excellent cook! Joe and Peter were wonderful...Joe was kind enough to suggest daily itineraries, with his local knowledge - we enjoyed 2 wonderful days of traveling to Malehide and Bray...absolutely a great value for the money...would highly recommend to anyone visiting Dublin!!! :-)
good service at breakfast.
