Glenroyal Hotel  

room was to small and to much noise

Very nice, large rooms, comfortable swimmingpool and training centre. Good opportunities for walks and golf nearby. The hotel can also be recommended for people who are visiting Dublin but want some peace and quiet in the afternoons - just 30 minutes by train into central Dublin

The two restaurants in the hotel - one bar and one Tai - are both OK but not fantastic

Hotel badly in need of renovation; there were holes in the corridor walls! Bedroom furniture was not clean.

Staff were extra friendly

The hotel is well located and central to shopping and restaurants. The room was clean and well maintained. The breakfast choice seemed suited to most diet requirements with fresh fruit, yogurt, cereals and juices as well as the full Irish and a range of breads.

Nothing to dislike

The Glenroyal is very well positioned just near to the train station into Dublin. Parking is free. There are two pools and there are long opening hours. The gym is very large. There are a few shops just opposite. The staff are very professional and helpful with train timetables etc. The rooms have been modernised and beds are very comfy. There are large family rooms which offer very good value. A carvery is available at lunchtime. Breakfast is fine. There is also a lovely thai restaurant in the building and you can order a take away (cheaper than getting it delivered to your room if you don't mind eating out of a wee box) Cleaning staff are very cheerful.

No assistance offered on arrival Room too warm with outdated heating control. Room freshly painted with odours of paint and new carpet. While helping ourselves to a selection of burnt offerings from breakfast bar our table was cleared and reset, dirty floor! Too expensive for service offered.

The staff were very friendly. The hotel bed was very comfortable and the room was spacious. The food was good. The location was excellent Parking facilities were excellent. The train connection to Dublin was next to the hotel.

You could hear people taking in other areas from Room 320. The requested early breakfast was 20 minutes late and left outside the bedroom door.

locality to quaint town of Maynooth

Staff were very good at their work, friendly, my 10 year old loved the stay, My favourite , the log fire as I entered the hotel, lovely girl at the front dest as I was booking in, very helpful,

Wrong order came out twice, to my table, but the food was excellent, say same mistake happening at the table beside us, no I didn't complain. But a lot of people would, apart from that service was v good .

Did not get any sleep due to the proximity of my room to the banquet centre. Very noisy.

Location was good for me with excellent parking Interior was warm and inviting We enjoyed our meal in the restaurant

We had a very strange waitress serve our meal Our breakfast was good with a variety of choices but the rashers were a little burned

The family pool was a lot of fun, my daughter tells me. We liked the friendly fire in the lobby. The rooms were spacious and comfortable.

Very old fashioned TV set in the room.

The staff were very helpful and genuinely friendly, a laid back but professional atmosphere.

Parking was crowded. The thai restaurant food was good but pricing a bit 'random' with everything 'extra' , waiters were not exactly helpful

Gym is great as are staff. Rooms spscious and resteraunt food good. Breakfast a bit overcooked and slapdash. Nice touch of girl refreshing coffee frequently.

One guy serving all of the breakfast and seemed harassed. I didn't know how to use the toaster, an unusual one and he shouted over to me rather than coming to show me. He was not Irish, perhaps that's why, all other staff were great.

The location of the hotel wAs great and within our budget for the night the bar had good drink promotions and the staff was lovely

Rooms modern & spacious,reception & bar/restraunt immaculate wit a lovley attmosphere,staff for d most pleaseant although d guy serving food at the carvery counter not so much.travelled wit 5 friends (3 couples) had an amazing stay,,,walkin distance to train station bus stop supermarket,chemist,bookmakers,other bars & nightclubs!!overall we had an amazing stay & will definately be returning for another visit!THANK YOU Glenroyal & all the staff (-:

Perfect for us as we were meeting friends in Maynooth. Just an overnight stay this time, but staff were great, rooms clean and comfortable, and breakfast fine. No hesitation in staying there again.
