With a beautiful lakeside location in the West Cork Mountains, Gougane Barra Hotel boasts rooms with stunning lake and mountain views. Surrounded by forest, it offers home baking and fresh, local cuisine.

Overlooking the lovely scenery of Gougane Barra, the cosily furnished rooms all include a private bathroom and a hairdryer, along with a TV and free tea and coffee.

A bar menu is served during the day, including fruit scones with jam and cream, smoked salmion, or homemade soup. Evening meals are made using local, seasonal ingredients, with an á la carte and table d’hôtel menu provided.

Rowing boats and bikes are provided at the hotel, allowing guests to fish on the lake or enjoy the numerous scenic trails in the surrounding area. The ancient St Finbarr’s Well and Monastery sits on an island in the middle of the lake.
