Room was very clean and the beds comfortable. Staff were friendly. Pity we had to leave early and so miss the breakfast - we'll never know what we missed.
You couldn't lock the toilet/bathroom door. TV reception was grim (not that we went to Dublin to watch tele!)
Room was clean and cleaned every day!:)
Traffic noice from the street.
Location and staff.
A bit noisy, toilets in first room we had would not flush properly. No elevator.
The bed was absolutely comfortable. Only 5 min. footwalk to Temple Bar. Christ Church, St. Patricks Cathedral, Trinity College, Dublin Castle and Stephen's Green Park only a few minutes away (by feet!). Busstop Nr. 16 to/from the AirPort directly in front of the Guesthouse. Good Breakfast.
Quite noisy- it's up to you to choose between Central location and silence - the Staff couldn't give helpful Information about the bus timetable - nothing
great location close to the main temple bar area
can be noisy at night, accommodation was dated
Our stay at the Grafton Guest House was very satisfying! We managed to squish three girls into a double room, which made it very cosy to say the least. The location was absolutely perfect we couldn't have asked for a better spot! Highly recommend this hotel or their sister hotel, Kelly's...
Was a little bit noisy but you have to take the bad with the good in such a central location!
The facility has a good location, the room was clean and staff friendly and professional.
The room I stayed in was very small. No room for a suitcase, the small single bed just fit the room space. The bathroom door could not open properly because the wash hand basin is in the way and the room window opens up on area that seems to accumulate hot air from generators and no proper AC.
Airport taxi service
Penthouse what a joke...the noise coming from From the radiators all night was the most mind annoying buZzing sound...even with ear plugs I wanted to jump out a window to end my pain...the tv monitor television with a remote with no batteries just hilarious...you should be not be allowed to advertise ur rape dungeon attic as a PENtHOUSE...what a joke...thanks for ending my last night in Ireland in your dumpster of a room
Well situated in the heart of Dublin. We liked the continental breakfast served in a nearby restaurant. The receptionist was very helpful in carrying our luggage up the stairs
We were @ the top of the house. No way of escaping if there was a fire. A bit shabby/basic. Noisy @ night, though they supply earplugs. Also because we were in the attic the light came in through the velux windows waking us early
Very central. Excellent breakfast in nearby restaurant (L'Gueuleton). Grafton guesthouse is part of Kelly's Hotel at no. 36 where all friendly & helpful staff and reception are based. Fairly basic accommodation but the location, price and breakfast make it ideal for an overnight stay.
Be aware of the flight of stairs up to reception and to rooms in both buildings when you have suitcases to carry. No lift available. Room poorly lit and gloomy. Still needs some upgrading.
Noise, I may as well have slept on the street. No elevator. Way overpriced for the quality of the room
You can walk to just about anywhere in central Dublin.
Lugging my suitcases up 4 flights of stairs. To be fair, they warned us.
Location. Characteristics of the building is wonderful. The spaciousness of the family suite.
No complaints from us.
Location, good shower and comfortable beds. Breakfast good
Street noise until early hours
Price and location.
There's nothing at street level. Your legs will feel the endless flights of stairs - not just to your room in the Grafton Guesthouse, but also in the nearby Kellys Hotel/Le Gueuleton Restaurant complex, where the reception and breakfast rooms are located. Room was clean, but badly in need of simple refurbishment - just patching up the damaged decor for starters. Some would call it "old-time character"; I would call it "shoddy".
Perfect location, friendly staff, sufficient breakfast.
Water pressure in the shower could've been better.
The guesthouse is near multiple pubs and a nightclub. The noise was terrible, it was noisy and LOUD until 3am. The nice location was NOT worth losing a good nights sleep for.
Really liked the location of this hotel and the atmosphere of the area. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again
Staff very friendly. Nice reception area - but in a separate building. Location - close to Grafton St, Dame St etc.
The stairs - too many flights to get to room 17. Light bulb - underpowered. Reception was located in a separate guest-house also about 50 metres away - wish I had known that before I arrived. Bad value for money - but in my case I had left it late to book anywhere else. Did I mention the stairs already?
Bus from the airport stops in front op Grafton Guesthouse. Close to city center. Good breakfast.
Noise from the street.
friendly and professional staff
Poorly soundproofed room, broken curtains, uncomfortable bed, threadbare carpet...it definitely needs a deep refurbishment.
noise from the street
Three different buildings, one to stay in, one to check in and out and another to have breakfast.
