Reopened after refurbishment, The Abbey Hotel is in central Dublin, across the river from Temple Bar and close to the shops, bars and attractions.
Score from 14 reviews Very good
Blooms Hotel is located in Dublin’s Temple Bar district, 500 ft from Trinity College and Dublin Castle. It has a traditional Irish pub, a nightclub and rooms with flat-screen TVs.
Score from 2602 reviews Good
Only a 5 minute walk from Temple Bar in central Dublin, The Charles Stewart offers spacious rooms with private bathrooms with shower, free Wi-Fi, and full Irish breakfasts in a charming Georgian style...

I loved the central location and the convenience of the guesthouse. It had a cute bijoux decor inside and my bedroom was comfortable - stocked with everything I needed.
The walls are a bit thin since it is an old building but luckily I'm a deep sleeper.
It was central to. Where we wanted to go as we were going to vicar St to concert very enjoyable stay
Amazing location! Room very clean, helpful staff. Would return.
Some fixtures & fittings a little tired.
The location was great. Staff very pleasent. Breakfast was awesome.
Furnishings well worn. Shower was barely a trickle. The tiles on the bathroom floor were cracked and uncomfortable to walk on.
Great friendly and welcoming staff Always wanting to facilitate guests. Probably only place to get breakfast with your booking.
It doesn't look very much as an ordinary hotel. Maybe even more like a small flat with a cosy room (bedroom) and bath. The location is just great - one minute away from the Temple Bar and 2 minutes from the Trinity. The stuff is very friendly. And for all music lovers I would definitely recommend to visit the record store just round the corner.
Nice service at the reception!
Breakfast was a bit poor
Breakfast at the adjacent pub, wonderful location, clean.
There was a safe in the room, but I wasn't allowed to use it and I had to carry all my cash with me at all times. The pub didn't have artificial sweetner, as most other places.
Breakfast too late, I was there for work and needed to eat before 8am. Too limited. Could not use internet during the 3 days I was there. Probably the problem was my computer, but it did not work. Staff were nice but didn't give me all the information I needed when I arrived. The shower was not in a good shape, dripping all day long.
The breakfast, free wifi, location, friendly staff
The building and bathroom were a bit run-down and for some reason the bathroom radiator wouldn't switch off so the bathroom was constantly boiling hot.
As ever, great staff. Efficient and friendly and interested in making stay as stress free as possible
work going on next door - but saves on wake up alarm and will be completed soon
Thoughtful and friendly staff. Couldn't ask for better Breakfast includes which is great
coffee not great but the tea is good
Great location, clean and tidy hotel with friendly staff. Would definately recommend
Some noise from the close-by bars which the windows didn't block out, but this didn't affect me much so wouldn't put me off returning.
Very central location, clean and friendly.
Minor issue of checking in and out from a different building and breakfast in a 3rd but not really problem as they are all within a few meters of each other.
It may be because they are currently renovating but the rooms didn't have curtains. The bedroom had a pink/peach blind that simply illuminated the entire room. So apart from waking early, no real complaints
breakfast! It was yum, everyone was super helpful. Excellent location
small cosmetic issues: the wall paper was a slightly torn and the lamp base was cracked and the bulb was blown.
Love the location. Very friendly staff
the coffee is not great but the pot of tea does the job
I liked location - I liked the breakfast....
Room too warm - unable to turn off radiator. TV not working - nice room but needs a bit of TLC...
Centrally located easy to get to everywhere
Shower leaked into hallway, paint chipping on walls, annex had no heating
Location and comfortable room. Breakfast available in a nearby cafe.
Would have liked breakfast to be available later than 10:30am on Sunday.
The people were lovely. Place clean, small but VERY quaint with everything you need. The bus from the airport (16) stops literally at the front door, or the express bus (747) just around the corner. Absolutely brilliant location. Couldn't have had a more pleasant stay, and would always be happy to go back.
You have to check in somewhere a few doors down, climb 1 and 1/2 flights of stairs with your luggage, then with the luggage back down the stairs and then up the stairs again to your room. Annoying, but would not deter me from going back.
The location is excellent. It is noisy , but it is an old building (i.e. old single pane windows)in the city centre. It's close to the main shopping area and pubic transport. The reception, house cleaning and breakfast staff are very friendly. The bathroom although tired and needing an upgrade was spotless.
The building needs a lot of TLC. The lighting the bedroom was very dull - I coudn't see into the wardrobe. There was still (clean) rubbish from previous occupants in the desk drawer. There is only one key per bedroom. These are not complaints, but just a highlighting the obvious.
it was a very cosy place...i asked for a quiet room and i got it
wanted e room with a view but did not get it,,but i understand this because that would mean front of house and that would be noisy.....can you fix the catch on window!!!!!
Noise - literally couldn't sleep till 4am when the streets cleared Basis student like accomodation with a lot of stairs to climb if your on the top floor as we were.
The central location. the buffet breafast. Overall it did the trick,
Was on top floor -no elevators- Room was TINY - mind your head tiny. You wont want to stay in it for long. With just a bit of imaginaion they could make the room more relaxing amd comfortable.
