Central location - great for shopping and sightseeing in Dublin. We had to ask to move rooms due to the really loud noise from the nightclub opposite our room. We could hear every word the dj spoke and had very little sleep that night. Do not stay in room 311. The room was also very 'tired' - stained carpet, drain smells from the washbasin, no plug in the bath and a kettle that only worked intermittently. The room had been hoovered, but the edges were thick with dust, which had clearly gathered over many months. The reception staff were accomodating and the following morning did agree to move us, without having to make a fuss. However it was clear from their reaction, that it was not the first time someone had complained and they were aware that the noise level in that room was unacceptable - in which case why did they put us in there! I was also asked to make full payment on arrival for our 3 night stay - even before we had seen the room.

The location is the best in Dublin, the restaurant is beautiful Very noisy at night: there are five pubs in the immediate vicinity; my side of the bed didn't have a nightstand and there was only 30cm between the wall and the bed; also the bed was too small for two!

A good place to stay if your not looking for the most modern hotel. An upgrade of bathrooms would make a big difference but fit for purpose. Overall a good place to get your head down and central to bus routes and shopping etc. Other punters letting doors slam at silly o clock.

The location was excellent No obvious soundproofing in the room we stayed in (Rm. 208) as I was kept awake until 2.30am by the music and the DJ from the niteclub. I could make out every song and even what the DJ was saying. Really, it was not acceptable by any means to have rooms with this level of noise until that time in the morning. Even the earplugs (which were delivered on request) did not deafen the noise; which also highlights that the hotel knew that this problem existed and yet did not highlight this as an issue to guests. One of the worst nights I have ever spent in a hotel.

Good location for shopping with Temple Bar not far away for a Guinness. Staff were good, room was comfortable, great breakfast to start the day off with. Overall, very good, at a reasonable price. Room was comfortable but a little warmer than I like, can be a little noisey at night (people being noisey in street),

Only its location and the price for the room was good considering it's central location Breakfast was awful, sour curdled milk was on the chiller cabiner and very little food laid out for breakfast. I had to scrape beans off the bottom of the dish. I had to ask for every little thing, sugar, butter, milk etc. The hotel looks very tired and in need of a lick of paint at the very least.

“The Hotel is very conveniently located, in a safe and very good area, central, with lots of public transportation optinons (bus, train, cab). The price was very affordable considering the hotel itself and the provided services. The breakfest was huge, delicious and always in time. The hotel staff was extremly friendly and helpfull (all shifts). The room very clean, spacious enough, warm and 24/7 hot water. The hotel, room and lounge design is very beautifull and warm, gives the impression of a luxury mansion and the comfort of your home. last but not least, the hotel, rooms, lounge, washrooms are very, very clean. I will definately recommend it to all types of travellers. I will go back if I will travel to Dublin again.” Dan, Brussels |
