The Grand Central Hotel is ideally located on the Main Street of the tourist town of Bundoran, on the coast of County Donegal.

The hotel declares itself the ‘best value for money 3-star family hotel in Donegal’ and when you stay at the hotel you will soon realise why. Friendly staff will endeavour to make your stay an enjoyable one. The modern, comfortable rooms have some views of the Atlantic Ocean, while the hotel’s restaurant is officially recognised for its quality local produce.

During your stay there are a wealth of activities available, including a visit to the Blue Flag beach that is popular for surfing, a day at the Water World aqua park, a game of golf at the nearby course, or a trip to the nearby arcades and 5 screen cinema, all of which are just a few minutes walk away.

The hotel's Drowes restaurant is Féile Bia approved (food origin and quality assured) and is known locally for its varied and interesting dishes.

The restaurant provides a well balanced wine list and all the ingredients for a dinner to remember.

After dinner, finish your evening of relaxation with a visit to Café GC.

Café GC is a popular and friendly watering hole. An array of comfortable armchairs and sofas welcome you inside. Relax over a pint, afternoon tea or choose some lunch from the bar menu. There is a big-screen TV and live music every night in July and August.

Room information

Spacious double rooms containing one double bed and an en suite bathroom. This room is decorated in a modern style and furnished to a high standard throughout, with the emphasis on luxury and relaxation. Some double rooms have the added bonus of superb views over the Atlantic ocean and the Bundorans Blue Flag beach.

The neutral tones of the decoration in the twin bedrooms are perfectly blended for relaxing. The room has one double bed and one single bed, so it is perfect to be used as a twin room or as a family room with only one child staying in the room.

The location was excellent, the pub friendly and the breakfast was very good.

With no a/c, one is forced to keep windows open. This is challenging due to street and pub noise.

Very noisy until 2am or maybe even later. the band in the bar sounded like it was in the next room. Lots of guests making noise in the hallways.

The view of the beach and the Atlantic Ocean

The noise of the fairground which was just across the road from our room. We got locked into the room on the night of our arrival and did not know what number to ring for reception. After some time and panic we accidently rang 0 and got through to reception. The manager dealt with the situation very professionally and put us into another room for the night, lack of parking facilities
