The first and most important person you meet is the receptionist. She was professional and welcoming. If only all receptionists were like this lady!

A bar, restuarant and spa in the hotel so not far to go to get good food and service. Vending machine on 3rd floor at anytime you can get water or a snack when shops are closed. The tv in our room did not work, it didnt really bother us and also people in the hallways at night time screaming and making alot of noise.

Our room was incredibly spacious, and, being on the top floor, quiet (even though we were on the side facing the street). The bed was comfortable and the room and bathroom were very clean. The girl at reception couldn't have been more disinterested or unhelpful. We stood at the desk for a couple of minutes before she even acknowledged us, and when we asked if they had a map, she sighed, pulled out a children's map (yes, children's) and then spent a good couple of minutes trying to work out where the hotel was. When she finally made a mark, it was in the completely wrong spot. The hotel also needs to improve its wifi access. It's only available in the lobby and it's near impossible to pick the signal up.

The Receptionist didn't give any special instructions how to find the room, the lift went to the 3rd Floor and you then had to walk upa stairs to the floor, very poorly signed posted when exiting the lift to find the room number and no clear directon from the receiptonist either... The Plates used for serving our breakfast were piping hot and you couldn't hold them when walking to your table...crazy.... The Breakfast Waitress asked us if we wanted Tea/Coffee before we were seated and hence none arrived to our table, we also had to dress our own table....find clean cups etc... Breakfast quality was very poor and very little continental breaskfast was offered. All in All Value for Money it was very poor.

The Grand Central Hotel is central and is a hotel; it certainly isn't grand. The best thing was leaving. Wi-fi did not work and they didn't seem bothered. The shower was for disabled persons and the temperature of the water was uncontrollable and was ridiculously hot. The hair-dryer didn't work. There is no parking and a very casual staff attitude.

The breakfast was great. We hardly got any sleep due to kids being up late out the front of our room making noise, car alarms going off etc. They need double glazed windows or to give people the option of not staying on the road side of the hotel.

Good location right beside the everyman theatre. The hotel is old style Ireland and the lift takes forever to arrive. Apart from this the hotel was fine with a good breakfast and a lovely dining area.

Had to check out at 11am when most hotels allow a 12 noon check out. Queried a late check out on Sunday morning and was told no because they were closing up the hotel for the week. Also, no food available in the bar at 8pm on Saturday night even though it was advertised in the lift until 9pm. These aren't complaints,it's just not the way we have ever come across a hotel being run, it was like they weren't even bothered about the extra business for little to no effort on their part. Never seen a hotel being run like this, and we both work in the hotel industry.

The grand central hotel is in the centre of town. A big warm fire greeted me as I arrived. The hotel is very clean and a pint at the bar was available all night if required. The rooms are lovely and spacious and the Irish breakfast next morning was devine. A very comfortable night sleep was received from staying at the grand central.

We stayed the weekend of the "Celtic Convention" & as I booked online was not aware of this!! The entrance to the hotel was littered with fast food cartons & was impossible to enter without running a gauntlet of drunk people. The noise of the music from the bar was deafening both Sat & Sun. & altho residents we were asked for a 20 euro cover charge to have a drink in the bar?? Not that we would have gone in anyway.

It is central to the town of Bundoran and you have easy access to beach and cliff walks. Family amusement venues are all within easy walking distance. Street noise. We had a front room, which though recently refurbished to a good standard, really needed double glazing or some other form of sound deadening to eliminate more of the road traffic noise.

The breakfast was just ok. When we arrived the desk wasn't occupied so we had to go to the bar for the check-in. The whole hotel looks shabby, the room was dirty, it smells weird and the hotel is in an area where you do not really feel save at night.
